Journal: What is this thing exactly?
So, I'm back in London less than a week and I find myself at a bar called Finnigans's. Nice enough place, too much meat on the menu if you ask me, but the bartenders were all very good at topping off my glass when I wanted them to, so there's that.

And the server hands me a journal and says it's something to do with the new community here. Seeing as my office will be in the neighborhood, they wanted me to have one, but I don't have any clue what to do with it.

So I guess I'm saying - any Hufflepuffs out there looking for a reunion? Otherwise, I don't quite know what this is for.

Oh yeah, hey Badgers, I'm back in the UK. I know it's been a long time, but I'm sure some of you haven't forgotten my rakish good looks and somewhat difficult-to-understand charm.

Welcome back! Forget? You were one of the hottest blokes in our house-

Some people use the journals to communicate privately with each other, or to announce something to everyone, especially about their businesses. Some just like making cryptic public comments to test the waters and see who's out there. Sometimes, people just want to reach out to a stranger or see who they might connect with. It's rather brilliant!

So, it's like what my muggle cousins call Myspace. Thanks, Ernie. And how are you? What are you doing now?

I'm staying with Mum & Dad at their place and I'll be working in Monument Alley, but until I figure out what I'm working on, I have a lot of time on my hands. How's Finnigan's whiskey selection?

I'm well, can't complain. I'm a healer at St. Mungo's, so yes, you know the right person to call if you're ever in need of a quick heal - though my specialty is long-term spell damage in the Janus Thickey Ward.

Finnigan's has an excellent selection of whiskey, and makes a mean margarita if you're into that sort of thing (which I am). I'd definitely give them a try. Seamus is a good friend, practically an honourary Hufflepuff.

I'm lucky to say I've never had the need for a quick heal, but I'm glad to know your services are offered.

I might be able to try my hand at a margarita, but I prefer my tequila in the form of very large shots.

An honorary Hufflepuff? That's quite a distinction! I should meet this bloke.

Come to Finnigan's and he's usually around. He mixes a good drink too! There's also a few other things going on there, it's sort of a community center. You should really check them out!

Well then, since I'm biding my time, why don't you show me the place? Introduce me to this Honorary Hufflepuff Seamus and I might even try a margarita.

I'd love to, it's practically a second home. When would be good for you?

Really anytime, how about Monday night? By then I'll have at least - hopefully - sorted out a place to live.

I think this is the month for Hufflepuff reunions or something - I might be having dinner with an old friend Monday. But I can meet on Tuesday if you're available then too.

And looks like Justin will be joining us, too. A true Hufflepuff reunion in the works.

What are people scribbling in my journal? And how do I make it so people can't see what I'm saying?

By the way, what is it you all don't want people to see? Please tell me it's something juicy.

If you're good with charms, you can charm and ward things to yourself and to select people with various privacy spells.

As for juicy, there's a local farmer's market with very juicy tomatoes on sale this weekend. I highly recommend picking up a few.

Thank you, I do rather enjoy good local produce, I'll have to sink my teeth into something there.
