Question for my fellow business owners! How do you deal with customers who don't follow the rules of your establishment?

I ask only because I had yet another patron wander in drunk today, and then get belligerently upset when I asked him to come back when he was sober, even though that rule is clearly posted on the front door and all over the place inside.

Any thoughts would be appreciated! Otherwise I'm going to ask Zacharias to put up wards against drunks on the entrance to the parlor.

We throw them out and ban them. Sometimes permanently, sometimes for shorter periods depending on how badly they're breaking the rules. We do get rid of especially drunk people, but we usually try and sober them up a bit first.

If anyone gets really belligerent and you can't handle it you're welcome to send over for one of our security staff, they're used to dealing with drunk arseholes. You might have to wait a few minutes if they're busy though.

I don't want to ban anyone, necessarily - I just want them sober to make a decision about a permanent body modification.

Thanks for the offer! I'm hoping I don't have to take you up on it, but it's nice to know I can call for backup if I need to!

I think I've only banned someone once for being drunk, and that was because it was so persistent. But I get why you don't want them making that sort of decision drunk. Our rules are more related to illegal or deeply creepy behaviour.

You're welcome. I hope you don't either, but it's important to support each other, and we're near enough that it's practical!
