Ministry of Magic
I can't believe this. The Ministry have finally gotten back to me about my hospital stay last month - and they're 'encouraging' me to 'reconsider my decision to live and work with muggles who are unaware of the wizarding world'. They say it's not a law, but if I can't control my magic it would be safer. Which is insane. I barely even do magic. It's not my fault I got sick!

What am I supposed to do, break my lease and move? To where? And what about work?

I know they can't force me to move, but I'm not sure how far they can or will go to make my life difficult if I won't. And I don't really want to find out.

It was Vanishing Sickness. Apparently I probably caught it off someone who hadn't started showing symptoms yet. That's what they're basing their arguments on. I don't know how much a note would help, given there's always a chance I could catch something else with visibly magical symptoms.

I'm going to come see you, probably next week.
