Evan thinks this is sweet, but he also knows she feels sorry for him and he isn't really happy about that. So, he has mixed feelings. His smile is grateful but rueful.

If it helps, she fancies him at least as much as she fancies anyone else? She might slightly fancy Sohvi, but it's more admiration.

Aww, Sohvi would be flattered if she knew. She doesn't think she's very admirable right now, so it would be a mood boost for her.
