Entry tags:! intro, patricia

Hey everybody! Patricia here with yet another character. Her bio is still incomplete and I still need to tag her icons but with this being a PSL (and therefore more free, app-wise) and with all I needed to do, mod-wise, I felt it was time. World, meet Sohvi Järvinen!

In case her name is not a giveaway, Sohvi is Finnish. She studied at Durmstrang and, having started there in 1995, she missed the whole Karkaroff era and ended up having a warmer and more pleasant experience out of her education than those who were part of the Triwizard delegation - under Karkaroff's replacement, fireplaces were allowed to provide comfort to teachers and students, for instance, and the Dark Arts class was replaced with the learning of defence. That's not to say that Sohvi's upbringing was a liberal one, though, as she hails from an old, pureblood and purist family and from a very young age was taught that she had to fulfil the Duties of a Lady. When she was told that her parents had just found her the Perfect Husband, she told them to go to hell, packed her bags, dyed her hair and moved to Britain. She's now working as an intern at the ICW, with Maks as her mentor (thanks to the help of Professor Grunokken, the Durmstrang History of Magic professor Karkaroff's replacement), and is living in a small bedsit in Diagon Alley and loving it. And she doesn't know it yet, but she's soon to meet a certain young fellow she's going to find very interesting...

So, that's Sohvi in a nutshell. She doesn't know many people yet apart from Maks (and maybe Taryn through him?), but she's very friendly and will talk to anyone. Thoughts?

I think you should know all my characters by now...

Mel is the most likely to know her, as she also works in the ICW. She'll be nice. I think they could get on pretty well? Mel is all for rebelling, it's how all good revolutions start, after all.

Romilda, Jade and Evan are the closest to her in age but have no particular reason to know her. Jade is likely to hide, Evan won't have much reason to talk to her, and Romilda I think would actually like her because she's feisty.

Lucy and Alex are my next youngest. They have no particular reason to know her, but they will nice and horrible respectively.

Dean has nothing, but he'll be nice.

Lee, Barney and Sally - hmm. Barney will be friendly, so they will probably talk. Lee hasn't much of a reason to talk to her, but he thinks she's fun. Sally is a little sniffy about Sovhi turning up her nose at being a lady, but even she agrees that arranged marriages are silly.

Luke is a little scared of her, but Glenys may have more connections, due to being BFF with Taryn. At any rate, they'll become acquainted, and you know Glenys will be friendly.

Valentina may meet her at the ICW if she ends up doing some interpreting there, like I discussed with Heather.

Yakov will be happy to talk to a fellow Durmstrang alum, especially one flying in the face of parental expectations. He can tell her horror stories about Karkaroff.

Myron! I forgot him because he is older, and he does not forgive me for it, not at all. I think he'd actually like Sohvi if they get chatting. Rebels are rock and roll, man, plus they have a similar Ravenclawy mind going on.

Heh, now I want to see those two talking to each other. She won't know he's famous, mind you, though she might find his band's name vaguely familiar.

Mel: I think they'd get along very well indeed. Sohvi is still learning how to be a rebel, and some conflicting information she got from her upbringing might rear its ugly head in her subconscious from time to time, so she'll be grateful if there's someone out there guiding her in the right direction.

Romilda, Jade and Evan: Like I told the others above, they can just know of Sohvi due to her suddenly bursting into the journals saying hi and asking about stuff that's either British or at least non-Finn she might find weird. If she starts seeing Romilda around, she'll like her right back for the feistiness, but she's reserving judgement regarding Jade and Evan.

Lucy and Dean: Sohvi will react well to niceness.

Alex: On the other hand, she will raise an eyebrow at Alex and ignore him.

Barney: Barney might make her head spin on occasion, unfortunately. Strong accents confuses her brain at times when she's trying to translate mentally, but so does excessive verbosity.

Sally: Sohvi has seen her female relatives getting sniffy before, so it's a case of deja vu for her.

Luke: She stares at him. She's not scary, honestly!

Glenys: She'll definitely like Glenys. And Valentina too, when they get to interact.

Yakov: And in return, she'll tell him stories about the awesomeness of Grunokken.
