Dr. Lecter for something dark and post-season 3?

I have reason to believe I have an interesting plot that will be well explained later on through mechanics, that is not about the remake but instead a sequel to the original game. We have a Tifa and an Aerith, we need other people. It'll be post apocalyptic, among other things. I feel like if I take on more than two main characters I'll have a conumdrum and my brain will implode. I really want to explore Aerith's character.
