Wild shot, here. But I'm hoping to find a MacKenzie McHale for the following harebrained idea switch up.

What if Will had left to become a war correspondent instead of Mac? What I have in mind is fairly dark considering their location and circumstance, and Will would be no less bitter towards her than he was in the show, but out there, untethered from everything, I'd like to see how the situation would play out if her path somehow led back to him.
