Lovely. I suppose that's one way to get me out of my room

To those of you who can teleport or apparate or ... phase? Is that the word I'm looking for? We've created a list of likely cities to check for any sort of supplies. If they're close enough, we can arrange for transport of larger things, and if they aren't, we'll just carry back what we can manage.

If any of you would like to volunteer for this, let me know? I'd prefer people to go in groups of three, just in case there's some sort of trouble wherever you go to. If you have a preference of a city to go to, just let me know.

[included: a list of 15 major-ish cities across the States]

I apologize for

I'd like to than

I can teleport to any of those cities and can bring back plenty. I shouldn't need a group to come with, because I can come and go without anyone even seeing me. I'll hit a few of the farther away cities so the groups can stick to the closer ones.

That would be lovely, thank you. Let me know if there's anything worth trying to get a group for farther away? I imagine we'll be able to find most of what we need nearby, and hopefully that'll hold us over 'til the next stop.

No problem. I'll check with the doctors too and see if there's anything specific we might need medicine-wise. I remember all the bare basics from medical school way back when, but the doctors know their patients aboard the train best.

If there's anything you might be looking for too, let me know and I can keep my eyes open.

I'm sure they'd appreciate that.

I can't think of anything specifically. I haven't really been in to check and see what's left in the kitchen and baggage car, and I suppose I won't be able to until the train puts the doors back on.

Fair enough. My eyes are open for all the basic and useful essentials too.

Thank you, love. We'll all appreciate it, especially if the next stop's farther off. This one came up quickly, didn't it?

Yeah, it did. Guess I've been my own world too much, because time shouldn't move that swiftly. At least there's open skies here and no more fish.

I do appreciate the lack of aquatic life surrounding us. That ... wasn't anything I'd care to go through again.

Same. I'm not used to being caged in like that. Way too stressful for my tastes.

I thought all the windows were going to burst at any moment and we'd all drown. I haven't been that on edge in ages. I am glad it's over, even if ... this is our stop.

This stop is definitely lacking the life and luster of our last one, that's for sure. I kind of wonder what state New York's in here.

Someone could go see. I imagine it's much the same, only with more dead bodies and likely more violence from those who did survive and congregated there.

I might stop by at some point, even if it'd likely be even more depressing than the last. Seeing New York when it isn't your New York's rough, but seeing it in shambles? Might be best not to go, but I know I probably will anyway now that I've thought about it.

That's true enough. I can't imagine what this must be like for people from the area.

No kidding. It kind of breaks my heart to think about someone local trying to find their old home in a place like this.

Oh, lord. No, I couldn't even imagine. If this is world-wide, and not restricted to the States, then ... I wouldn't want to see what London looks like.

That does raise a good question though, whether this is world-wide or not. If it isn't, we might be able to swipe fresher supplies from other parts of the globe.

Maybe. I'm sure Jaime will take it into her head to venture further. When we stopped in New York, she hopped all the way to England just to see if it was our England. It wasn't, of course, but I'm sure she'd be up for venturing around. Her and some of the others.

Nebraska. I was wrong: corn and fundamentalists. Lovely.

I'll go. Distance doesn't matter, but if you pair someone with me who can't transport themselves, the trip might be unpleasant. Fair warning.

We're ... locked out of the train in Nebraska of 1990.

This train goes all over the place. This is the second stop where it's locked us out, but I imagine come midnight we'll be allowed back in. Like we were in New York.

You've been told I have a granddaughter here?

I am pleased to see you back -- well, here -- love.

It's a good thing that I've become an expert at camping. Not at the packing, though. I can only home someone else has the tent.

Uh. Yeah. Yes. Jaime's told me.

I'm glad to see you too. I hoped you'd be wherever I was headed. You know, if I couldn't turn back.

There's a hotel in town. It has power and running water, so I suppose we can't complain too much. The town isn't that far away.

She'll be pleased to see you back, even if she does whine a bit about wishing you were older.

Where did you think you were headed? Or is that something I'd rather not know?
