Dean had been in the bar a few days, long enough that he was familiar with how things worked. More or less, anyway. He was sitting at a booth near the observation window, watching the colliding worlds destroy each other, with an odd fascination.

Maybe someone would like to come and talk to him, before he goes mad from boredom. He has a beer and a pizza, he's willing to share the pizza, even though he could eat the entire pie by himself, he probably shouldn't.

Jean is in the bar. Nobody is around her for a perfect ten foot radius. Anyone who tries to come close to her it repelled by the bubble. The last thing she needs is to lose her head. She's currently nursing a glass of wine, which is fairly normal for her. She enjoys the taste, and always avoids getting drunk. Especially now.

Despite the security bubble, she's open for conversation. She just doesn't want people randomly bumping into her and giving her orgasms. It's bad enough hearing every dirty thought that floats through the bar. Sleeping has been a nightmare, but that's not terribly unusual for Jean, really.

It's just gotten worse since her supplant died. If she'd have known it was helping her sleep at night, she might have asked for the equipment to keep it up and running, even if it meant never using her powers again.

There was something strange. She frowned, her brow furrowed, as she walked barefoot along the corridors of the ship, her hand stroking along a wall. The familiar buzzing of the ship had...something else underneath it, something strange.

She was not entirely surprised to find a door where there shouldn't be one. And of course, she walked through. Because doors are meant to be walked through, of course! If you don't walk through, it's just a weird decoration on a wall.

And the buzzing of Serenity was gone, and there were people, all talking and thinking at once, and it was so loud!

River turned abruptly, only to find that the door was gone. "Door disappearing...there must be a trick to it, but there don't seem to be any strings..."
