I know Saturday is a very close deadline, but I would like to write a song about Rose and Nell. Each, I wouldn't try to cram them into the same song. So if you could please tell me as much as you're willing to share, it'll make the words flow easier and help the tune be all the sweeter.

Also, if anyone has objections that I do write the songs, I will hear them out, and respect them.

Rose told me a lot about her life story. She was adopted by loving parents who treated her as one of their own. St Olaf was where she grew up, but I don't recall where that city is located. She trained to become Butter Queen, which was one of the highest honors in town, however the first year that she competed in the Butter Queen Pageant there was a scandal where all the churns were tampered with. It was a long while before she competed again, but she also won first place at the county fair for her cheese making.

She married a man named Charlie and was a housewife for almost thirty years, raising their five children, three girls, two boys. After her husband passed away, she moved to Miami where she lived in a house with three of her friends.

In addition to making cheese and churning butter, she was also a skilled at knitting and crocheting... she made a beautiful boutonniere for me to wear to the prom.

She was also at one point a grief counselor.

There's so much more, how she enjoyed to talk about her past. She was an absolute delight. I shall miss her very much. She did not deserve such a tragic death.

	I wish I had gotten here sooner, then, to really know her. I met her the day of my arrival. We swapped pleasantries only, before she told me where I could find a room, but they were very pleasant pleasantries. She didn't, which is why I want to give her the best send off that I can. When a dangerous creature appeared in Todash, instead of fleeing she helped others escape, that is the strength of her character. She broke her leg in the process and we got to chat a lot when I offered to take over her shift at the front desk and she insisted to be there, too. So kind and helpful.

Thank you for offering to do this. I know her soul continues to live on, but I'm terribly sad not being able to see her smiling face, or to hear her cheerful voice in person.

	That's actually pretty amazing, it definitely speaks of her character. I may have to do a little research on St. Olaf, to see what information I can find about it. It seems like the least I can do. But it's best to remember a person in song, is it not? (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

I can't remember whether or not Rose checked in on if St Olaf exists in this world. There are some parts that don't transfer from our home to here, so not all the details that Rose knew might not be here.

Writing songs in memorial for somebody isn't done much in these "modern" times. The only one that readily comes to mind is when Sir Elton John's song Norma Jean, which was already for a classic film starlet, but he sang it in honor for Princess Diana's death. If there are any more, I don't know.

	Write your songs, and then if there are objections, don't play them there. Besides, we both know there will be some grand embellishment. I personally preferred your more scorned songs. "Burn, Butcher, Burn" is my favorite. (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)
