	It's a phrasal verb. Usually it means to disregard or treat something as if it isn't important. In this case, I'm using it to mean recovery, as in to shrug off a magical effect my body is able to disregard more easily than other people might be capable of. (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

	In this case, I don't think so. I'm still trying to figure out what effects me and what I'm immune to. It feels really random, which makes it hard to predict when I can be of assistance and when I'd be ~~in the way~~ in the same position as everyone else. (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

I won't ask you to tell me what you are. I was just wondering if maybe you'd tell me how old you were?

I wasn't originally a minor tree goddess. I started human. But I'm kind of concerned about what's going to happen as I get older. I've lost my humanity once, and I'm not really interested in losing it again because I get too jaded to care.

So... if you have any insight?

Yeah. Reckon I will do, one day, but I've got stuff that needed taking care of first and I've seen the mess that happens when someone like me leaves before they're done.

[Adam manipulates reality so that the Arc of the Scythe trilogy, as well as the short story collection 'Gleanings' thunk into Julia's bag. Certain parts that he thinks will be of particular interest are highlighted and/or tabbed with cute lil' page markers.]

[...] Got a few ideas from those books, but the one that I was thinking of first was keeping journals. I've done it since not longer after I found out about my powers. [...] Every once in a while, I go through and summarise stuff, what I've learned, how old I was, what made me realise that, why I might be wrong, how long it took me. Helps keep me grounded, I suppose. To have compassion. Reading other people's journals helps, too. And memoirs.
