[Veteran's Support Group]

For folks who didn't make it out yesterday- or even if you did, since we didn't talk about it much, wanting to do it here... The idea was brought up about extending an invitation to others in town who might have similar experiences to us, but in their own dreams. This could be a separate monthly meeting entirely, if we want to keep our current group just to those of us who are veterans in, well, real life.

Any thoughts?

	I'm not opposed to those having combat dreams joining our group, but those with generalized PTSD might be more comfortable in another separate group? I know it's very possible that people are out there dealing with really traumatic experiences and few tools to really assist them, but without necessarily having a military background. 	I- hm. I am comfortable enough with everyone now that I will agree with what the group agrees to, but my own opinion is that a separate meeting time or a separate group would likely be best for everyone's comfort at the start? (Reply to this) (Thread)

	I think you're right (and Verity said something similar, above) that keeping things separate- at least for now- is probably the easiest, safest way to start. We can wait to see what others say, of course, but I certainly wouldn't want to do anything that jeopardizes the trust and comfort we've worked so hard for. (Reply to this) (Parent)

	I think that it's a very good idea. I know how real and visceral that part of my dreams can feel and I would imagine people feeling similar would benefit from having a group, especially if they don't already have the foundation of experiencing it in this world. (Reply to this) (Thread)

	That's what I was thinking. I don't have dreams- yet, I suppose- but knowing that if I have anything similar to yours or Verity's... At least I'll know that I have some sort of coping mechanisms already, with everything I've seen and done here. So for those who don't... Well, you get what I mean. (Reply to this) (Parent)
