I invited the kitty to stay. Is that alright? [Blink.] Also, I think I saw a man kill himself when I left to get snackies. He was standing across the street, walked into an alley and he just shot himself. Is that alarming? I feel like we should be alarmed.

I don't think your relationship is a fabrication. [More cursor blink.] I would know if it was, wouldn't I? I mean, I'm great at seeing through things, Edward. And I would know if I was being played with. So would you.

	And a second ago it was working fine, right? When I tried it, I was at the park. The nice one I like to walk Matilda at. I was staring at this really interesting statue, some kind of policeman from the 1800's posing proudly. Then, after a moment, the statue was crumbled, covered in graffiti and missing an entire arm. I hate it here. I hate how happy everyone is. I hate that there isn't any crime. I hate rich people. I hate mindless charity balls where I couldn't tell you how the money is being spent. I hate board meetings and tech demos and thinking about stock prices. I hate the sun. I hate knowing there's something wrong, smelling fire and hearing waves crashing at a party and not understanding what it means. I hate it. As much as you like it, I hate it.

And, if the rest of you wanted to keep it, I'd probably just live with Harl and Pam. I'd hide here and build them things and get into trouble. You'd say, "I knew Eddie before he was crazy" and everyone would laugh and agree and move on with your lives.
