Nothing! I don't actually know the answer to that, I'm still new to this thing. But people get dragged to this mysterious hotel and things happen to them. Like second childhood, i had that. And when you go to that side of the door you're a new person in a different world. Sometimes you have a jerk, though, I warn you.

Those are also possibilities. I'm leaning toward magic just because I think it's the word for when nothing else reasonable makes sense. Plus I just think it'd be really cool if magic existed.
