Battle of the Bands at Club Kidnap
Who: Fuyuki and Open
What: Chilling out and watching different groups play in a battle of the bands
Where: Club Kidnap
When: Random Friday night
Why: Its summer and it's fun

Fuyuki stood near the bar at Kidnap downing his third beer and checking out the people that came and went. Most of them were seniors, a lot were from the drama club, some were college students that heard from word of mouth. The whole thing seemed to be a pretty good success. He was glad that the owner had taken the idea of his and actually run with it. Mixing drinks with live music, and enough bodies to be classified as a Bacchanalia for the senses seemed to be a fun thing. The sounds of music throbbed a hard low bass beat over the speakers and couples, trying to show how mature they were, wer grinding on the dance floor to the hits that the second band was playing.

Fuyuki tipped back his head and laughed. Now this was what he had been missing dating that prep. Fun times, though she was the one that had gotten him into this scene. He bobbed his head to the music as he tapped his fingers against the top of the bar and looked out at the people that were hanging around. Waving at some he got up to prowl around the club and see if there was anyone to talk to.

"Let's both have the same thing, Satou-senpai. Something fruity. Wiiith…" She considered. "Schnapps. I really like schnapps." And it wasn't all that strong. If Kanaye insisted on drinking, maybe she could get him to drink something that was more water than liquor anyway.

She looked back at Fuyuki and smiled; "Was I? Which party was that?" And, because she couldn't help herself—really, he'd started it, 'pleasure this evening', honestly—she added, with a coy laugh, "And my pleasure this evening? Hm. Why do you want to know?"

"A fine plan, make it three fruity with schnapps," Fuyuki grinned at the tender who wandered off to make the drink. He looked over at Kozue and Kanaye and smiled, "A lady always gets what she wants, and knows what she wants too it seems."

"Well I saw you at the one that the basketball team had, one that was supposed to be a college only party, but I think your boyfriend at the time did what my ex did with me and brought you along, at least I think it was you, I'm still a bit fuzzy about that evening, and then at your party here. I came with one of the varsity tennis memebers," he explained calmly as he searched for a tip for the bartender.

He gave her a sly smile, "Depends on what sort of pleasure you're looking for. Just curious why one of the prettiest girls in the school is on her own without her boyfriend? Oubai doesn't come to functions with you?"

"Alcohol, they're fruity alcohol," Kozue responded, feeling generous and motherly enough to pat Kanaye's wrist. "Really tasty, too." Then, her attention went back to Fuyuki. "I'm in the mood for that—tasty things." She added a laugh, which really rather made the double entendre work.

She dangled her feet from the stool and kicked them slowly back and forth, impressed that he knew she was dating Kou. And flattered. She rather liked being flattered. "Oh, he doesn't like this kind of thing," she answered simply, before moving on. "I remember that. College parties are always lots of fun." Her smile widened. "Oh, are you still seeing her? The tennis player?"

"Tasty things? Well depends on the sort of things your taste buds like," he teased right back. "Sweet with a light tang to it -Like shaved ice. Always a good summer treat. Once this party winds down, what do you say to the three of us going to get some ice cream, or shaved ice?"

Fuyuki shook his head, "A sad thing that. A guy should never let his girlfriend attend a function by her lonesome, it seems a waste to me." He was a bit suprised that she remembered that girl with him and laughed, "No, we were just going as friends, since, well my girlfriend and I were having issues, but issues are resolved, she dumped me and is now dating a graduate student at her college." He shrugged, "So I'm flying solo for now. Kind of fun, I get to hang out with people I like without having her cast disapproving looks at me."

Kozue blushed a little, and then stuck out her tongue at Kanaye. It was a remarkably forward gesture for her—and it was a marker of the fact that she was actually pretty comfortable around him. And he probably wouldn't remember it in the morning, anyway.

Her drink arrived, and she flashed a grin at the bartender, before picking it up. "If you say you're treating, Atatsuki-senpai, I'll never say no."

It was after taking a sip of her drink that she realized that her statement had come out a little more… broad than she had intended. She concentrated on her drink, and after a moment, recovered enough to comment, "That's a virtue of being single, yes."

Fuyuki laughed, "You two act like siblings you know that. It's rather adorable Kondo-san. I take it you two hang out a lot."

"Well it's an open bar so in a way I am. I know the owner of this place." He grinned and handed over the tip. "Well so long as you're saying yes to the treating, though I don't mind sharing the bill once in a while."

He took his drink and sipped it, "Mmmm, not bad. Yeah in a way, but it's nice to have someone to spend time with."

Fuyuki, ever the gentleman, took the comment as politely as possible.

	Kanaye laughed. "You shouldn't do that too often, Kozue-san, or someone's gonna do that to you. At the same time. By which I mean French kissing." He explained happily. "It's a joke!" "And I'm so scared of French kissing," Kozue replied, shaking her head and laughing. As long as Kanaye stayed a happy drunk, she was quite content. He was actually kind of an adorable happy drunk, all things considered.

"I meant the ice cream, but," she shrugged. "Oh, I'm friends with the daughter of the owner, too," she added, "It's how I had my birthday party here. We had to book the place on really short notice."

"Becareful what you wish for Kanaye," Fuyuki chuckled some at this. They were rather cute together. He wondered how a girl like her wound up with Kouchisei. "So how long have you and Oubai been going out Kondo-san? If I may ask."

"Ah, okay then, well yes, I will be treating. Humm, one more round and then we should head out and get some. Some of the more rowdy types just walked in and I'd rather not be seen by them," Fuyuki mutterd. Two were friends of his ex who really didn't like him all that much.

"Oh that was really generous of him. How long have you known his daughter? And please, Fuyuki is fine by me Kondo-san."

Kozue really couldn't stop herself from laughing. "Ice cream, Kanaye-senpai, we're getting ice cream, not laid. I think you're cut off." If he couldn't remember that for more than a minute? Yeah. He needed a break and some non-alcoholic fluids. She took another long sip of her drink, pondering why she was drinking at all—it wasn't the right thing to do. Damn it.

"Oubai-senpai and me? We haven't been going out all that long. Maybe since the start of summer. Why do you ask?"

"Oh boy, well let's just hope he can walk," Fuyuki said and ordered a bottle of fruit infused water. "Here Senpai, drink this. It'll help." He grinned, "And try to stay focused, if you don't I might order you a wasabi and crab ice cream cone."

He sipped the rest of his drink, "Ah, well it's because you were dating that guy on the basketball team. I didn't know when you and Oubai-san started going out. How has it been going?"

Today was just not her day for decorum. Kozue actually nearly did a spit-take when she heard what Kanaye said, and after making sure she wasn't going to spray the bartender with the Kidschnapps Appletini, simply laid her head down on the counter and giggled.

A deep breath or two regained her relative calm; "No, we won't go to Kiga Kiga," she reassured the upperclassman. Then she shook her head, and looked over her shoulder at Fuyuki: "Oh, him, right." It hadn't been great, but at least he'd... well, Kou hadn't laid a hand on her. "It's fine. Oubai-senpai's a perfect gentleman."

Fuyuki looked suprised then coughed to cover up a laughing fit that he had. "Well no one can say you can't make a joke Kanaye, that's for sure. And no, I didn't mean it as a euphemism, I just ment that...never mind, it's not worth it."

He smiled at Kozue and nodded, "There's a nice ice stand not to far from here, we can go there. I hear they have specials for late night groups." Fuyuki gave a nod at Kozue's comment, "Yeah I heard he's a bit of a stiff, in ways, glad to see that you're with someone who can act like a decent guy. You having a good time with him I hope."

Kozue took a sip of her drink, apparently pleased to let that comment or question from Fuyuki lie. She wasn't going to go telling him—any of it, really, because that would lead to bad places, be a bad decision in general, and—and damn it, she was supposed to be making good choices. And stuff.

She took a final swallow and set down her empty glass; it had been a weak drink, and a small one. Frouffy.

"Are you guys ready to go?" She looked between the two older boys.
