Maeko had, for a reason that will be confirmed when DSM gets back to me about it, managed to get Misaki safe or something.

She 'd stayed at Kigakiga after her shift was done (territory again. If they were going to have this sort of conversation then she wanted some comfort she could cling to.), bought herself some strawberry mochi icecream and texted Kanaye.

Free now. At Kigakiga.

	Kanaye blinked a bit. Frogs? That was unexpected. Bunnies, he could deal with. ~~Dammit Misaki...~~ "Oh, frogs are very cool! "Yeah, frogs! They jump and stuff and they make cool noises. I don't think there'll be cats at the zoo. Unless you count tigers and stuff." She thought again, giving an audiable 'hmm.'

"There's a shelter somewhere nearby, I think, for abandonned pets. A girl from my class volunteers there and it's where dad got the cat from. If you had the time and you wanted to do it I'm sure they'd appreciate more volunteers there."

Unsaid: It's a much healthier activity than drinking a lot.

Kanaye nodded. "Frogs do make cool noises. And yeah, but tigers are awesome! I mean, they remind me of you."

Kanaye's eyes widened. "HOLY. SHIT. I did not know that. I have nothing better to do, really. Thanks, Maeko! I'll definitely go there! Such a shame you have to work so much, you could have come with me." He sighed. "But oh well. You win some, you lose some."

	Kanaye nodded enthusiastically. "Yeah! I mean, when you want to be, you can be adorable and cute. At other times, you can be elegant and beautiful. And when the going gets tough, you can be vicious and powerful." Kanaye's smile was really wide. He calmed down a bit, then continued on. "Alright! Thanks, Maeko!" 	It was a better reaction than she could have hoped for. She wasn't sure what kind of reaction she'd been expecting but that was better than it. "Thanks." She thought again. "If you want.
