Tana-tana-tana-tanabata!
Who: EVERYONE
What: WISHES
Where: SHRINE
When: TANABATA
Why: TANABATA

It was a story of star crossed lovers. Literally.  Orihime and Hikoboshi, meeting up with one another for only one night a year, seperated by the Milky Way. This always seemed kind of stupid (you'd think they would get tired of only being able to be with the one they love for only one day out of the entire year) but humanity was always romantic, and so, their reunion was celebrated.

There was bamboo set up everywhere, with little pieces of paper on them. These pieces of paper held the wishes of everybody that came to the festival, in hope that one day, they too will be able to have their wish come true. They would be burned the day after, true, but just for one night, it seemed that anything could happen.

Everywhere you look, people in yutakas walked around. There were booths everywhere, and people playing at those booths. Really, it was quite nice.

Kanaye was having great pleasure in people looking at his yutaka in confusion. It was gold. Not actually the element, but it was definitely light, shiny, and pure gold in color. The contrast between it and every other yukata nearby was shocking to say the least.  He was waiting for Maeko, who hasn't shown up yet.

KODAK moment! (Nayuki-interruption #01)

Covering for Misaki and Seiji as the two take time off work and enjoy Tanabata, Nayuki found himself weaving through large crowds with a basket of flowers in hand. He had volunteered to take on the job as he already got what he came for in this Festival and, so far, things had been going very well. With such limited stock of flowers to give away as free samples to invite people to patronize the Hanakotoba Shop, he decided to choose wisely regarding whoever he was handing the samples to. It just so happened that he found himself witnessing such a splendid moment. He wasn't exactly eavesdropping as the familiar-looking man was shouting his confession out loud for everyone to hear. The recipient of the said confession was none other than the first year, Yoshimi. "Now this is interesting."

Some of the crowd actually stopped what they were doing and gave their attention to the two. Cheering and clapping soon came after as Nayuki witnessed Yoshimi come out of her shell and accept the young man's confession with equal vigor. He couldn't help but grin from ear to ear. "Well, looks like this is a good a reason as any..." He approaches the two new lovers, clutching a batch of flowers in one hand while holding the basket with the other. He had to think up of a profound poem to commemorate the moment, and he had to think fast. Reaching the two, he got to place a generous amount of flowers among their hands and bowed to the both of them before delivering the lines...

A HOT-BLOODED YOUTH...
PROUDLY DECLARES HIS PASSION!
THE FANGIRL ACCEPTS!

Feeling that this was a job well-done, Nayuki bowed once again and set off elsewhere for other couples to give flowers to. He promptly disappears into the crowd.
