Tana-tana-tana-tanabata!
Who: EVERYONE
What: WISHES
Where: SHRINE
When: TANABATA
Why: TANABATA

It was a story of star crossed lovers. Literally.  Orihime and Hikoboshi, meeting up with one another for only one night a year, seperated by the Milky Way. This always seemed kind of stupid (you'd think they would get tired of only being able to be with the one they love for only one day out of the entire year) but humanity was always romantic, and so, their reunion was celebrated.

There was bamboo set up everywhere, with little pieces of paper on them. These pieces of paper held the wishes of everybody that came to the festival, in hope that one day, they too will be able to have their wish come true. They would be burned the day after, true, but just for one night, it seemed that anything could happen.

Everywhere you look, people in yutakas walked around. There were booths everywhere, and people playing at those booths. Really, it was quite nice.

Kanaye was having great pleasure in people looking at his yutaka in confusion. It was gold. Not actually the element, but it was definitely light, shiny, and pure gold in color. The contrast between it and every other yukata nearby was shocking to say the least.  He was waiting for Maeko, who hasn't shown up yet.

Something (perhaps incessant reminders from Kanaye, or a sense of "doesn't this always happen in anime?) had compelled Toru to show up for the festival. Most likely, a sense that Kazuya might be there. Folded up in one hand was a very personal (and definitely awkward) wish, which he discreetly tied to an out-of-the-way bamboo plant. If anyone were to find it, it'd probably be a kami, at least.

Having finished that, he continued along to get a look at the festival booths. Perhaps he would run into his classmates... Toru hoped they'd remember his clothing as the extravagant red kimono salvaged from that tree Shadow in his own dungeon.
