Tana-tana-tana-tanabata!
Who: EVERYONE
What: WISHES
Where: SHRINE
When: TANABATA
Why: TANABATA

It was a story of star crossed lovers. Literally.  Orihime and Hikoboshi, meeting up with one another for only one night a year, seperated by the Milky Way. This always seemed kind of stupid (you'd think they would get tired of only being able to be with the one they love for only one day out of the entire year) but humanity was always romantic, and so, their reunion was celebrated.

There was bamboo set up everywhere, with little pieces of paper on them. These pieces of paper held the wishes of everybody that came to the festival, in hope that one day, they too will be able to have their wish come true. They would be burned the day after, true, but just for one night, it seemed that anything could happen.

Everywhere you look, people in yutakas walked around. There were booths everywhere, and people playing at those booths. Really, it was quite nice.

Kanaye was having great pleasure in people looking at his yutaka in confusion. It was gold. Not actually the element, but it was definitely light, shiny, and pure gold in color. The contrast between it and every other yukata nearby was shocking to say the least.  He was waiting for Maeko, who hasn't shown up yet.

"Sasa no ha sara-sara~"

Haruka, in a striking sunflower-patterned yukata, was leading the elementary- and middle-schoolers in the traditional Tanabata song, the cheery and mildly out-of-tune voices rising above the clamor of the festival. Both she and the kids looked like they were having the time of their lives.

"...kin gin sunago!"

Doubly so when they finally finished the song and she let the ones who weren't in drama run off to rejoin the festivities. The rest she kept; she had ~plans~ to bring to fruition.

Tomako had only joined in with this trival singing as a means of occupying Keito and Nami. He'd rememebered the song when he was younger and when his siblings were gone he glanced over at Haruka-sempai and quickly asked.

"So why are you keeping us all here?"
