Who: Kozue and LOTS OF OTHERS?
Where: That ramen shop in Noodle Alley that doesn't card for beer.
What: Fun times without having your ID checked.
When: An evening, before the Sunday of Maeko's dungeon.
Why: Jun told me to.

At least two of the waitresses knew her by sight, which, Kozue reflected, was probably a bad sign.

One of them had even asked her where her date was. "I'm just here for noodles" wasn't a very convincing answer; especially since she'd also come for the alcohol. Now she was sitting on a stool at the bar, her feet dangling (of course they didn't hit the floor, nor come close at all), enjoying a veggie noodle bowl and a very large beer. It had seemed like a good idea initially—food not from the dorm kitchen, and a drink was really called for after the week's events, and maybe there'd be a cute boy. Now? It was just kind of pitiful-seeming, getting food alone, and she was beginning to suspect that the beer was not nearly as low calorie as was advertised.

The cute boy front was also, sadly, a disappointment thus far. But she was more optimistic about that than about the calorie problem; boys could walk into bars, but calories probably couldn't walk out of drinks. At least, she didn't think they could…

Three's a crowd...

"I don't think I'll make it back home in one piece."

It was a tiring night for Nayuki. His legs were heavy, his rear end had gone numb and his stomach kept reminding him that it was way past dinner time. Being one of the very few bicycle couriers able to be dispatched by the Toturi Publishing Firm, his area or responsibility almost encompasses a fourth of Iburi's entire region... And tonight, a visit to the docks was something he wasn't expecting to do. Now, on his way home, a nice meal and a good bath were the only things in his mind that kept him going. Seeing a familiar zone up ahead, he decided to take his respite in one of the many restaurants comprising the city's famous Noodle Alley.

He didn't bring any cash with him today, so he kept on pedaling until he found one shop that displayed a welcoming marker of an Electronic-Pass. Dismounting at the side of the said restaurant, he did a few hops and leg stretches before chaining his bike onto one of the available parking spaces. "Lucky~~" He chirped to nobody in particular as he took off his windbreaker and walked in. Nayuki was instantly greeted by the available staff and found himself seated at the long counter. Returning their smiles, he looked up at the list and pointed to one of the big-bowls in the display. "I'll have the Gomoku Soba combo, please." He quickly snatched the mobile phone from his belt bag, pressed a few keys and handed it to one of the waitresses. "I'd like to pay by Mobile-Wallet, too, if that's alright."

With his order taken, and his mobile phone whisked off for electronic confirmation at the register, Nayuki decided to take a good look at the restaurant's interior. The Semi-Circle seating by the walls made it look like it was originally designed as a family restaurant. But the addition of the barstools and the long counter he was seated at clearly meant otherwise. This was confirmed for him when he found stacked crates of Sochu and Sake being carted in by someone who he suspected to by the owner of the establishment. "At least nobody's smoking here." He thought to himself. Tobacco wasn't his forte, and that fact is still true to date. His appetite would've been destroyed, even if he was famished.

And then he spotted a slightly-familiar face. The tall, blonde young man walked past him in a confident manner and approached a gloomy young lady with long golden locks a few seats away from where Nayuki sat. He would have mistaken the two for fashion models had he not overheard the young man's voice as he greeted the lady. "Oho~ If it isn't one of the sempais at gym class?" He leaned back against the counter and quietly observed the exchange from the corner of his eye while he waited for his meal.
