Who: Shadow Kouchisei and Exploration Team.
What: Dungeon crawling.
Where: Soyokaze Underworld, Paradise.
When: Saturday/Sunday, 30th/31st May.
Why: Dungeon crawling chat supplementals!

Things To See In Iburi:

"Thoughtfulness, dedication to customers' needs and meticulous attention to detail are all things that Soyokaze Touya, a ryotei in the centre of Iburi, is known for. A luxurious and somewhat exclusive resturant, it is famed for managing to be a quiet, tranquil place despite its location in the noisy city centre as well as for its food."

Paradise had kept the Oubai clan business, Soyokaze Touya, as a building inside the city centre. A restaurant needed customers, but this scene had no people. One could walk from the train station to its doors and not meet a soul - none of which could be seen in the entry hall behind dimly-tinted doors. A counter was seven meters away, with chairs and a pot plant on the right. One who went inside would see it was a hospital. The hygenically-scented air fought off infections and strongly made it difficult to breathe. Being a hospital, the walls were white, and so were the bright lights.

Kouchisei hadn't wanted to leave. He'd found comfort here; his mother was close and the fake appearance on the outside would keep people away. He was a quiet man, and his mother had wanted him to bring friends to visit. Regardless, it was hard to change and open himself up to make them. This hospital was a nice place, he thought.

Toshimi was keeping track of the groups. That made Kanaye, Misaki, and Maeko in one, Keiichi and Shiori in another, and (apparently) she would group with Kiriko and Reizo. That left three people--Toru, Yuu, and Hiroshi.
"We have two groups of three and one group of two established," she said, mostly to herself. To the remaining three, she said, "Then, two of you should go with Ito-san and Wakanata-san, and one of you should go with Akuba-san and her group. If Iwata-san and Akiyama-senpai go with Ito-san and Wakanata-san, then that group will have all four elemental spells in it." Toshimi had already been pulled into grouping with the scary-looking first-year, but she didn't want to drag any of her classmates along unwillingly. She also calculated that Reizo had some previous fighting experience, so if anyone was going to be in the group with fewer people, it made the most sense for it to be him. Of course, she wasn't going to say any of this out loud. "I think those arrangements would be the most balanced, but please tell me if I'm missing anything," she told the others. She really had no intention of being the director of this operation, but she didn't know if anyone else remembered everyone's skills, or who was logical-minded enough to arrange them.

She glanced down at the "weapons" she'd brought in--a tote bag full of knives and forks from the dorm kitchen, and an old baseball mitt to keep herself from getting hurt handling them. Looking up at other people, who had real weapons, she didn't exactly feel ready. But there was nothing she could do about it now. "Then, if that's all right, and everyone is ready..."

Misaki nodded her head and smiled at Kaneye and Toshimi, "Yup I'm ready, well as ready as I can be. And I'm sure that you won't Kaneye-senpai. You'll be keeping us safe I'm sure."

She didn't want to say she was scared. If they were going to do this she wanted to make sure that they got to Oubai senpai as quickly as possible. It was after all going to be a rather hard thing to find him in this sprawlling place.

Gripping her fans tightly she looked to those in her group and said in a serious tone, "Well then lets get going, Oubai-senpai is out there some where and we need to find him. We can't let him wind up like Sato-senpai, I...I don't want something like that to happen again. We need to get to him, no matter where he is. We have to get him out of here. It's not safe."

Reizo wasn’t sure what was more annoying: the urge to try and tug the skirt down lower on his legs or the familiar sense of dread that’d settled into his stomach. He was used to it, but combined with the outfit and the new sensation of fear, true fear, crawling up his spine gave it all gave him pause. The place was creepy without the chatter of patrons inside or the aroma of food wafting out of it, and the shadow-things did nothing to help to stymie his apprehension.

No better way to break through the fear and doubt than be jumping in head-first, and after a sidelong glance at the others, that’s exactly what he did. No use in waiting around for them all, especially since teams were apparently being decided on and they’d all be following soon after. A deep breath for courage, one more long look at the almost mesmerizing swirls on the door, and he plunged through.

And was greeted by the sickly sweet disinfected air of a hospital. He gaped down at the outfit, it all making some sort of inane sense now, and walked a little further in, trying to ignore the cold finger of fear probing up his spine. Beyond the sharp clacks of his boots (a nurse in boots, nice) on the pristine tile floor, it was deathly silent.

Toru listened intently to Toshimi's organization of the groups. Yes, he wanted to do this, but at the same time, he didn't think he was the most prepared or talented of the group. My only experience fighting is in games, and I haven't done a sport in years... he fretted. He hoped that he'd just be able to do something without getting in anyone's way... or seen by anybody. The nurse's outfit was more than a little embarrassing to wear. It was too short, for one. And certainly not at all flattering on his lanky frame. I look like a freak. He tightened his grasp on his staff, an old cosplay supply from when he used to go to conventions, and gulped, half in anticipation, half in nervousness.

"Ah... I-I'll go with Akuba-san's group." He said this quietly, without fanfare.

Kanaye smiled.
"Alright then. Welcome aboard, Toru-kun!" he said, wrapping one arm around Toru's shoulders in a brotherly gesture.
