WHO: Kenjiro, all students!
WHAT: GYM WRESTLING CLASS!
WHERE: The Gymnasium
WHEN: Tuesday
WHY: Because God hates you all.

It was with a look of great pride that Ito Kenjiro, new gym teacher at Nanakamado Esclator School, looked at the gymnasium. It had been...renovated wasn't the right word. "Transformed" did much better.

Sitting smack dab in the center of the gym floor was a professional wrestling ring, set up by Kenjiro and some of his buddies over the course of a few days. Surrounding it were a bunch of blue protective mats.

Entrances from the male and female locker rooms had been covered by black curtains. There were some free weights and other gym staples still, sure, but for the most part, things looked a whole Hell of a lot like a wrestling arena.

"Wahaha!" the teacher exclaimed, standing center-ring, rubbing his hands together. "The new recruits will be here any minute!"

This would be the first gym class since the death of the school's former gym teacher. There were no promises that it wouldn't cause the death of one of the school's current students.

But Hell, Kenjiro's got an honest face. What could go wrong?

Renju... wasn't completely sure how she felt about this.

On the one hand, she actually didn't mind gym, now that she could run laps without passing out. It kept her busy and in some sort of shape, which she couldn't complain about.

On the other hand... wrestling? She knew absolutely nothing about pro wrestling except that it involved large people and fighting. She weighed maybe forty kilos soaking wet and the only things she'd ever fought were Shadows.

But that wasn't going to keep her from trying. Ignoring the chatter of the other girls in the locker room, as usual, she gave her shoelaces one last yank, got up from the bench, and pushed through the curtains.

Maeko wasn't a particularly active person but she was a great believer in getting what was expected of her done and even when the easily tricked Aomori was leading the class she would dutifully attend and try her best to find it a fun break from listenning and writing rather than an annoyance. This would, however, be the first time she was actually looking forward to the class.

She poked her head out from behind the curtain, confused at the gym's new appearance but not wanting to allow that to discourage her. The new teacher had said he could make her strong and that was enough to win her favour. Unsure of where she was supposed to be she walked to the edges of the blue mats and waited there.

"Yoo-hoo!"

Hana peeked excitedly through the gymnasium doors, peering wide-eyed around the gymnasium at the redecoration. She giggled happily to herself, then cast a hasty, wary look over her shoulder. She'd tacked a sign to the office door, so people should know to look for her here, right? Besides, this was obviously to be where she was needed most, and this was just the kind of entertainment she needed on a boring mid-afternoon. She would have brought her turtle too, if the aquarium was more portable.

"Ito-sensei~!"

She thrust one skinny arm in the air and waved to him, eventually lowering her hand and clasping it with the other behind her back. She looked back and forth between the boy's and girl's curtains expectently, rubbing her hands together excitedly when she reached the ringside.

"You'll need me too, right? When does the show start?"

From his perch in the ring, Kenjiro saw the nurse make her appearance, and forced himself to fight back a shudder.

There was something about the woman that just plain gave him the willies. He couldn't explain it. Maybe it was how thin she was. Not exactly healthy looking to be a nurse.

Then again, the school had hired him to be a gym teacher...

"Hello," he replied. "The show starts in a couple of minutes, once all the pantywaists get here! And yeah, you'll be needed. Just hold your horses, pull up a seat in the stands or somethin'!"

It was almost like she was *hoping* for people to get hurt.

Shirou had never particularly been a fan of pro wrestling, but since Kenjiro's introduction he had researched the subject to great lengths. Undoubtedly the most(and also one of the very, very few) excited student for the new gym class, he quickly changed into the uniform he had prepared specifically and proudly stepped out into the gym and affected the most pro wrestler-like strut he could manage over to the blue mats surrounding the ring.

Masami dreaded the moment she would step out into the new gym.

It wasn’t so much the class itself. No, Masami figured she could handle that. But... the problem was, Shirou would be in that class. Shirou, who was probably more excited for Ito-sensei’s version of gym class than the rest of the entire school combined. Masami just knew that the combination of Shirou and Ito-sensei was bound to cause headaches at the very least.

She took her time changing to prepare herself mentally for dealing with the hot-blooded idiocy that she expected to occur, then reluctantly stepped out past the curtains.

Immediately, Masami put her palm to her face and sighed, for the first thing she saw upon stepping out was Shirou, strutting toward the ring in the center of the gym. He was wearing some sort of... costume comprised of a long sleeved red jacket and long white pants with a red flame design. Shirou left the front of the jacket open, probably intentionally to show off his chest in what he must have assumed a real pro wrestler would do. There were other details but Masami didn’t care, either way the end result was that Shirou looked completely ridiculous... which, sadly, meant that he probably was dressed most appropriately for the atmosphere of the gym.

She REALLY dreaded whatever would come next in this farce...

"Well... first day of Gym Class." It wasn't that Nayuki was looking forward to wrestling, but he thought it was only proper to be punctual with the attendance. And he was right to come to the gym early. No sooner had he reached the changing rooms that he stumbled upon some male students who were up to no good. Certain that they haven't noticed him yet, he tried to conceal himself behind the stacked platforms to find out who they were and what they were exactly up to. The three were already in their gym clothes, huddled by the girls' locker door while each holding a small box. They started chatting among themselves, quite animatedly too, while a girl, whom he can only recognize as his classmate Sakuraba-san, left the lockers and headed towards the mats. He couldn't tell who they were, but their shirts gave them away as students from 1-D. He continued to watch as one of the boys went into the girls' locker room when the coast was clear, bringing in the three boxes while the other two looked at either side of the corridor. A couple of seconds later, the former comes out and gives a thumbs-up sign while grinning at his compatriots. And with that, they ran off to the direction of the ring.

"I guess even Nanakamado's no exempt from raging hormones." Nayuki told himself as he stepped out from behind the platforms. He spared no time running into the girls' locker room, not sure of how much time he has before things get messy. Stopping for a few seconds to admire the neatness of the room and frowning at the sad state of the boys' lockers in comparison, he quickly snaps himself back to the issue at hand and starts scanning the place for the whereabouts of the boxes. "Where would I put them if..." Nayuki grinned, and proceeded to pull up a stool to one corner of the room and stepped on it. He craned his neck a little to look above the lockers and, sure enough, he found the the boxes on top different aisles. He quickly retrieves the box closes to him and examines to contents.

"I knew it..." He pulls out a modified handy-cam from the box, shaking his head as he ejects the DV tape and puts it in his pocket. Replacing the camera in the box after putting it back to its recording session, he puts the box back where he found it. "That should teach them a lesson. I'd love to see the looks on their faces when they find out just how much they failed." He quickly did the same for the other two boxes and proceeded to head out to the gym class proper.

Misaki nervously walked into the gym. She was feeling exhausted and nervous. Gym had never been like this before and she didn't want to play sick just yet, after all this was a scary teacher, unlike the last one. Aomori sensei had been tough but she didn't like the idea of wrestling. She wasn't built for this.

Stuck in her burma and the t-shirt she sifted back and forth on her feet with her fellow students and looked up at the teacher nervously.

With a heavy heart and an overwhelming feeling of dread Toru walked into the school's gym. Up until Aomori's change of heart, he had avoided gym class almost entirely, and the hiatus caused by the man's death had given him a second reprieve. But Mr. Ito seemed to be destined to change this. Toru sighed at the thought and walked to a wall further away from the group, hoping to make himself somewhat invisible to those in the gym.

Apparently, Kiriko had staked the gym out earlier.

She arrived not through the changeroom doors, but rather the main ones, throwing them open in the most ostentatious way possible. She strode confidently into the room (shoulders back, chin up, head high - showtime), the concessions tray hanging from around her neck piled with paper in three neat stacks.

"Attention, ladies and gentleman~! Betting is now open on the upcoming 'DEAD OR ALIVE ~ NAKAMAKADO GLADIATOR WORLD DEBUT'! Watch the contestants and place your bets today! No rules bar the competitors from entering, and all you need to do is sign up now and potentially almost double your money! With some proceeds going to myself for organizing and Ito-sensei for being such a good sport about it, of course." Kiriko paused to flash a broad, charming smile at Ito-sensei. "Since it's all in good fun and everything, and these kind of matches are always best with something on the line."

Kanaye sighed to himself in the changing room. Due to Ito-sensei's changes to his sport of choice (Soccer-Wrestling? Really?), he hated to see what had happened to his normal gym class. If he knew the man like he thought he did, they'd probably be having wrestling matches, over and over and over and over until someone passed out or died.

Oh well, at least I can see the girls wrestle with each other! he thought, and that immediately cheered him up a bit. With renewed vigor, he walked out of the changing room, brushing the curtains aside in the most dramatic way possible.

Right in time for Kiriko's little announcement. Before he could dramatically mark his exit (or even to stare at Msamai's or Misaki's legs,) he saw Kiriko in that ridiculous get up. Wondering why she wasn't in regular gym clothes (A missed opportunity, in his opinion), all thoughts were dispelled when she started to talk. Well, look like someone else took a trip to paradise...

Gendou watched with wide eyes as Kiriko came into the gym. He was playing assistant today to the classes along with a girl from his class. It was, on request from the Principle that older students of third year help with the younger students of first and second year in gym. Basically for Gendou it was another plus mark on his card for college. But when Kiriko came in, his normally reserved face took on something far mor exagerated and cartoonish. Groaning he loudly commented.

"Ikeda-san, you do know that betting is illegal here in Hokkaido, and that this school doesn't allow it. Now would you kindly...TAKE OFF THAT SILLY OUTFIT THIS INSTANT! You're starting to distract from lessons!"

"Oh, come now, Retsu-san, your ridiculous outfit is far more distracting and you wear it every day of the week!" she giggled. "And of course it's not illegal here, haven't you ever been to a pachinko parlour or a racetrack? You really should become more worldly, dear Student Council President!" The inflection with which she addressed him was just sweet enough to suggest disdain for him she'd already made well-known.

"Besides, I've cleared it with the authorities! As long as some of the money goes towards the school, it's all fine. But my, didn't you know that? Shouldn't someone in your position brush up on the rulebook?" She spoke so easily and decisively that nothing short of a polygraph test would have caught a lie in her mannerisms, despite the dubiousness of her claims.

"Um Kiriko-chan, why are you dressed like that? Hummm, is it a new game, well if it is I guess I can join in. Though I've never seen wrestling before." Misaki watched her with some shock. This couldn't be the real Kiriko-chan, could it? Not the way she was acting. Not to mention the fact that it was freaking her out just a little bit the way she was talking to the others.

Then Tom had to walk in half naked and made the poor pink haired girl blush badly and she slipped behind Kiriko adding, "Um...do you think I can stick with you Kiriko-chan, er...I'm starting not to like this class that much."

As soon as Misaki slipped behind her, Kiriko stepped back to Misaki's side instead, slinging an arm around the other girl's shoulders.

"Of course you can, Misa-chan! But where's Akuba, why isn't she taking care of you? Oh, nevermind. Never seen wrestling before?" Kiriko 'hmm'ed softly and then continued more to herself than to Misaki. "I think you'd make a better ring girl than a wrestler, I'm sure most of the class would agree... But then we'd have to charge extra for tickets."

Kanaye walked up to the two, smiling. He vastly preferred this version of Kiriko over her normal self, but he didn't want her to die over that. Oh well. Maybe she'll be so grateful they saved or life that she would start acting nicer to them? Or maybe she'll just get over whatever made her act like an ice queen. Either way, he doesn't have a problem with it.

"Misachan, Kirichan!" he said excitedly as he approached, years of having bland conversation allowing him to ignore Kiriko's shadowness. He did not want to find out what happened if you called a shadow that to their face. Tom could deal with that if he wanted to. "How are you today? I must say, lovely~ costume, Kirichan!"

Tom waiting until Kanaye had moved away before he walked up to Kirko. Not only would he get to find a chance to analyze the mind of a persons shadow self, but he'd probably find out what she actually thought about him.

He stopped for a moment to consider how to approach, he went over what she had done for the class.

"Hello Ikeda, I notice that the school is split between people afraid of the new wrestling gym class, and the people excited for it. You seem to have managed to work a benefit regardless of what category you're in. Congratulations."

Yoshimi skipped into the renovated gymnasium, ready to begin her favorite class. It was the only chance she got during the school day to burn off all of her excess energy. Like recess! But for teenagers! The only subject that she was nearly as interested in was literature, and that was only because of the delicious homoerotic undertones between most of the male leads.

Mmmn, male leads...

She snapped out of her reverie. There were boys! Here! In front of her! In short shorts! About to get all up close and personal with each other! She was vaguely aware of one of the other students taking bets in the background, but Yoshimi didn't feel inclined to join in. Why complicate the beautiful simplicity of sweaty men wrestling by bringing money into it? It was beyond her.

Toru had been distractedly watching Kiriko's attempts to drum up interest in gambling. It was suspicious, yes, but he wasn't entirely set on believing that something was really wrong. Yet. And the more pressing issue for him at the moment was just surviving gym class.

He walked right into the skipping Yoshimi. With a startled noise, he jumped back.

Oh, hey, it's that guy who beat up the tank.

"Ishinomori-kun! Don't worry about it," she said, smoothing out her jacket without really thinking about it. Given her current mood, Yoshimi could probably get hit by a small car without getting upset. She bounced up on her tiptoes, trying to get a better view of the inexplicably (not that she was complaining) topless guy in the middle of the gym.

"The new teacher sure does make class interesting, huh?"

It's... the girl who called Hanamurako-chan a trap...

Relieved that Yoshimi wasn't at all upset by his display of clumsiness, Toru leaned over a little to see whatever his classmate was straining to get a look at. It took him a moment to process it. Oh. Shirtless Tom. He was... very well-built. Toru could feel an annoying warmth in his cheeks, and turned away from his sempai to answer Yoshimi.

"Ah... 'interesting' is one way to put it. I-I can't say I've really ever liked gym, even the way it is now... but, uh... you seem to be enjoying yourself..." Maybe gym uniforms were moe to her. Or something.

The expression on Keiichi's face was somewhere between abject mortification and horror as he dragged behind him a large wheeled cart. In the cart were a wide variety of implements: steel chairs, training dummies, and other such things.

"Ito-sensei," he called. Damned if he'd call him "father" in school. "I've got the things you wanted." He wheeled the cart to ringside, and took in the sight around him...that looked something like complete and utter chaos.

Spotting his son having wheeled the cart into position, Kenjiro grinned. "Thanks, kid. I'm sure most of you know my son, Keiichi. Head of the Cookin' Club, fer chrissakes. Anyway, since he's my kid and he knows what he's doing, I'll be demonstrating most techniques on him. Unless, of course, ya act up, in which case you'll be on the business end o' my patented Blizzard suplex!"

Gesturing around him, Kenjiro chuckled to himself.

"Contrary to belief, I ain't gonna throw you in the ring right away. Gonna teach you all proper like, cause wrestling ain't just a sport. It's an ART when done right, and y'all just got your first paintbrush. Gonna get you all in shape so you can fight like REAL men and women. Any questions before I kick this show off?"

Initially puzzled as to why the upperclassman followed him towards the Student Council President, Nayuki decided to just move on to his intentions. Upon further perception, he saw the unmistakable flow of pink hair huddled between the glamour girl and the president. Just as the teacher called out to everyone; he smiles, remembering the brief encounter with Aoi-san on his first day, and waves a greeting to her along with the president. "Aoi-san, it's fancy seeing you both in for Wrestling. Retsu-iinchou, I'm glad to finally meet you face to face." He gestures the both of them towards the ring side seats, grinning, "I think the class is finally starting, and paints won't be a factor... unless we're going to use it as improvised weapons."
