Previous Entry  Add to memories!  Tell a Friend!  Next Entry
Entry tags:tom, toshimi

WHO: Tom and Toshi
WHAT: Toshi tries to repay Tom for knives in short tag format.
WHERE: The coffee shop where they first talked
WHEN: Between Yoshi dungeon and Isao dungeon
WHY: Because Toshi is determined damnit!

Tom sat in the small shop where he had first talked to Toshi. It seemed oddly appropriate. He reflected on how things had changed since that day, and how much he had changed. The evidence for such could be seen in how he had actually purchased a drink from the place this time, instead of smuggling in tea in a hidden thermos and pouring it into the cup after ward.

Of course that didn't mean he was ready to drink it.

"Yeah," Toshi said sheepishly, "I have to admit, I didn't find it very appealing at the time, tea over murder investigation." She shrugged an "it's all in the past" shrug at him and smiled, sincerely.

It was her turn to look away, though. "It's nothing to thank me for, I'm not..." She paused. "You knew what kind of person I was, and still saved my life..." She turned back to him. "That's to say, of course we've all been through difficult times, but of course we're friends, because of that...oh, that's my drink..."

She stood to pick up her drink from the counter and returned with it a moment later, to add, "It's kind of odd, isn't it? We know each other's deepest secrets, but we don't even know what each of us likes in tea."
