School Trip, Day Two. (THE GREAT OUTDOORS)

Who: EVERYONE (npcs welcome)
What: Hiking, Meeting (Major Arcana Only), Setting up Tents, Cooking, MYSTERY FOOD X, King's Game, Sleepn (Possible bear-wrestling)
Where: IN A WOOD
When: Late May
Why: We like camping.

Aomori-sensei was waiting outside the hotel when everyone was awake, tapping a foot impatiently and looking at his watch. Ishino-sensei seemed somewhat nervous. He'd snapped at her when she'd tried to speak to him. He was always a lot more patient with the students and she'd hoped that finally going on this trip would improve his mood. She shook her head and smiled. It was her fault her colleague had to deal with all the reporters and so she had no right to complain when he was in a mood like this.

Tent arrangements:

Boys
3: Reizo/Toru/Akiyama
3: Kanaye/Yuuto/Kou
4: Gendou/Keiichi/Shin

Girls
3: Toshimi/Maeko/Shiori
3: Kojima/Renju/Mitsuko
4: Kiriko/Emi/Masami
4: Noriko/Misaki/Tori/Kozue

"Well ok then! Yuuto, you get the pegs. Kou, you get the hammer. I'll get the place and tent!" Kanaye said before dashing off towards the school tents. He grabbed a decent one before running back and putting it down, then laying beside it and waiting for his tent-mates.

Kouchisei had been staring at the tents when Kanaye spoke. They were an unflattering pile of synthetic fibre and poles and... did he really have to sleep in one? With Kanaye? In close quarters? Maybe if he hurried up and slept he wouldn't be subjected to awkward questions.

He returned with the hammer, holding it with such an expression it seemed he'd been considering using it on Kanaye's head.

...Tentsharing. Not that it was a particularly bad idea, considering the students had to share hotel rooms the night before, but the difference was that it was three bodies squished in a relatively small space and somehow, Yuuto wasn't in a mood for that.

Yuuto came back with a set of pegs in his hand, looking at the other two curiously.

Nodding at his two tent-mates, he smiled. "Well alright then, we have everything we need!" he said, suddenly jumping up and posing. Seconds later, however, he faltered. "Now all we have to do is figure out how to put it together..." Kanaye said sheepishly. "Either of you know how to put up a tent?"

"No."

Kou had a puzzled expression - he seemed to have no idea. The only things he knew were that the poles acted as supports and the material had to be waterproof. Neither of which he was sure of.

"I take it you do?"

"...So no one here knows how to set up a tent?"

It was, actually, a little pathetic, but probably understandable. This was Yuuto's first time out camping, and the other two didn't seem like the type either.

Kanaye just stared at the ground and facepalmed.

"Well shit. ...Um. Anybody know anybody that could help?" he asked sheepishly. "I do, I just don't wanna bother them at the moment, so..."

Yuuto was right - Kou wasn't the type. He liked his bed with a mattress, sheet and pillow. The thought he'd be sleeping with two ruffians would keep him up all night. School trips sucked.

"Go ask Aomori-sensei," he offered.

Kanaye sighed. "Ahh, but that means we have to ask a teacher for help..." he said tiredly. Suddenly smirking, he continued "Alright, alright. Kou, you do it."

Kou believed Kanaye thought he'd given him a problem. Except it wasn't. He'd happily go talk to Aomori-sensei because it got him away from those two. He didn't look displeased; his lips turned into a smile and he seemed to come alive.

"Sure. Be back later."

He left Yuuto and Kanaye to their own devices, and went to find their teacher.

Yuuto tried not to look surprised, or raise an eyebrow. They were only human, Kou included, so it made sense that even he could smile sometimes.

...It was just weird considering so far, all Yuuto had ever really seen him as was neutral, irritated, and something like pissed off. Not that he had known him for long, either.

He turned to look at Kanaye, tried to pick something to talk about. "So, how has the trip been treating you, so far?"

Kanaye didn't bother to hide his surprise. He knew Kou could be happy, he just didn't expect making him do some work would be what made him happy.

Yuuto's words interrupted his thinking, so he turned to his classmate. "Eh, nothing much. I just fell. Nothing really important. You?" he asked, sitting down.
