Everything was set to perfection. The fine china was set out, the house elves were dressed in fancy clothes, and Narcissa waited patiently in the living room for her guests to arrive.

Ginny threw her napkin onto the table as she rose to her feet, facing him. "Harry James Potter," she hissed, no longer caring if anyone heard her. "Who do you think you are? First you break up with me over some flimsy excuse. Then you introduce me to your dead but now suddenly living parents. Then you ignore me until you mess around with me asking me here. And now...all of this abuse and secrets? What is wrong with you?"

She reached forward and slapped Harry across the face. "Stay away from me and my family!" as she stormed out.

Harry flinched, his hand raising to his smarting cheek as he watched in shock as Ginny fled the room. Tears stung his eyes and he tried to write it off as pain from his cheeks, but he knew no one would believe him.

"I'll be right back," he mumbled, pulling his napkin off his lap with shaking hands. Without looking at anyone, Harry moved away from the table and left the room all together.
