Action Scene: Wherein Harry and Snape get drunk at the Hogshead

This was simply unacceptable. Coming back from the dead, even if few realized he had ever been dead, was turning into a walking nightmare. Severus opened the door to the Hogshead and went straight to the bar, not bothering to look at the other occupants. It wasn't as if the Hogshead had a stellar clientèle , which was a fact he was counting on tonight. He wouldn't mind losing himself amongst the dregs of humanity and a bottle of bad liquor.

"Whiskey. I'll take the bottle," he said, tossing some coins on to the counter.

The barman merely grunted and handed Severus a spotted glass along with a bottle of whiskey. He immediately poured himself a shot, drank it down and reveled in the burn as it went down his throat. He wiped his mouth with the back of his hand, then went in search of a table, preferably in a dark corner. Severus scowled when he realized the darkest corner was already occupied. He was about to find another place to drink his sorrows away, when he recognized the mess of shaggy hair.

Sneering, he walked to the table and sat down, placing the bottle in the middle of the table. "You shouldn't be here, Potter."

Harry nursed his Firewhisky with a scowl. He had taken Sirius' advice and cleaned himself up so he looked more respectable, but that didn't mean he was feeling any better.

Guilt plagued his every thought, and he knew he had no reason for it logically. No one--aside from Snape and Ron--was blaming him for anything anymore. He was the media darling and his girlfriend had stuck around waiting for him to come home. That was a great source of his guilt. He hadn't seen Ginny in what felt like ages, between his parents being alive, being invited to a dinner party at the Malfoy's and handling his feelings for his father, which still bordered on disgust but had finally faded from hatred, Harry wondered how he found time to think of anything else.

The loud clink of a bottle hitting the table caused him to flinch and he looked up just as Snape sneered down at him.

"I have just as much right to be sitting here as you do, sir."

	"Oh shut up, we're drinking, not talking," he growled, taking a large sip of his whiskey. He looked Harry over, considering the changes in the last year. Severus rather liked the longer hair, and though Harry could have used a shave, the stubble made him look rather...not like his father. (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

	"Why aren't you some place more respectable getting drunk? I'm sure you could get good and pissed with the sheer number of drinks that would be sent to you free of charge from your adoring fans," Snape mocked, though he frowned when he realized his tone didn't have quite the right bite to it.
