Action Scene: Wherein Harry and Snape get drunk at the Hogshead

This was simply unacceptable. Coming back from the dead, even if few realized he had ever been dead, was turning into a walking nightmare. Severus opened the door to the Hogshead and went straight to the bar, not bothering to look at the other occupants. It wasn't as if the Hogshead had a stellar clientèle , which was a fact he was counting on tonight. He wouldn't mind losing himself amongst the dregs of humanity and a bottle of bad liquor.

"Whiskey. I'll take the bottle," he said, tossing some coins on to the counter.

The barman merely grunted and handed Severus a spotted glass along with a bottle of whiskey. He immediately poured himself a shot, drank it down and reveled in the burn as it went down his throat. He wiped his mouth with the back of his hand, then went in search of a table, preferably in a dark corner. Severus scowled when he realized the darkest corner was already occupied. He was about to find another place to drink his sorrows away, when he recognized the mess of shaggy hair.

Sneering, he walked to the table and sat down, placing the bottle in the middle of the table. "You shouldn't be here, Potter."

	Harry laughed. "Definitly not drunk enough for this." He pushed himself out of his seat and stood, swaying a bit. "Hang on a tic, do you want a new drink as well?" (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

	Severus leaned back in his chair. "If you're going to continue drinking, one of us must remain sober enough to see that you get home without splinching yourself." He paused for a moment before saying, "Yes. Scotch this time." (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

"All right, scotch it is then." Harry stumbled up to the bar and leaned heavily against it and for a second he forgot what he wanted, but thankfully by the time the barkeep came back he had remembered and promptly ordered more Firewhisky and scotch for Snape. He balanced the two drinks with caution as he moved back across the dingy pub and set both down on the table with loud clanks.

He nudged Snape's beverage of choice towards Snape, before twisting off the cap of his own.

"Idiot," Snape muttered, sipping his scotch. Now it was just a matter of maintaining the pleasant feeling of numbness in his body. He had no desire to get any drunker, not if Potter planned on getting utterly pissed. He didn't save the boy on a regular basis, just so he could get drunk and fall in to a hole somewhere, breaking his neck.

Though it might be amusing to see Potter fall down a hole. A small snicker escaped his lips at the visual image.
