Action Scene: Wherein Harry and Snape get drunk at the Hogshead

This was simply unacceptable. Coming back from the dead, even if few realized he had ever been dead, was turning into a walking nightmare. Severus opened the door to the Hogshead and went straight to the bar, not bothering to look at the other occupants. It wasn't as if the Hogshead had a stellar clientèle , which was a fact he was counting on tonight. He wouldn't mind losing himself amongst the dregs of humanity and a bottle of bad liquor.

"Whiskey. I'll take the bottle," he said, tossing some coins on to the counter.

The barman merely grunted and handed Severus a spotted glass along with a bottle of whiskey. He immediately poured himself a shot, drank it down and reveled in the burn as it went down his throat. He wiped his mouth with the back of his hand, then went in search of a table, preferably in a dark corner. Severus scowled when he realized the darkest corner was already occupied. He was about to find another place to drink his sorrows away, when he recognized the mess of shaggy hair.

Sneering, he walked to the table and sat down, placing the bottle in the middle of the table. "You shouldn't be here, Potter."

	"Good lord, Potter, if you can't hold your whiskey, you shouldn't be drinking it." Snape looked at the label and sneered. 	"Was doing fine before you showed up and grew a different personality," Harry grumbled, chasing down his last sip with another. Harry glowered and stayed silent. At least this way if they were both quiet he wouldn't have to put up with Snape's verbal abuse.

The burn seemed to lessen with each sip he took of the Firewhisky and a vaguely pleasant buzz seemed to have taken up in his mind.

"Did I ever say thank you?" Harry wondered out loud, spinning his bottle once more. It was awfully fun to do.

	Potter wasn't even close to sober, which left Severus with a slight advantage. He may not be completely sober, but he'd had many more years of drinking under his belt. "What is the real behind you wanting that memory?" he asked, eyes narrowing. Perhaps he was too drunk to try and pass of that line about his 'smile." (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)
