Unwelcome Guests [tag: Enyo & Tyr]

[info]ophios_harmonia
OOC: This takes place during the mixer, right after Harmonia and Tyr leave.

Barely a full moment passed from the time Harmonia took Tyr by the arm and disappeared from the beach landscape into Concept until they reappeared on Olympus. There was something oddly comfortable about holding his arm, something that Harmonia wasn't sure she liked or thought was appropriate given the circumstances at which brought them here. This was not a social call, this was business. Well, it was sort of a social call, but mostly business.

Once she gathered herself a bit, travel through Concept still left her a little off-center sometimes, she looked around. Whoops. She'd landed a bit off her mark. “I need to work on my aim,” she muttered under her breath. It was just as had happened in Denmark, only this time she was closer than she had been last time. On their left was a large dark structure made of stone and metal. Everything about it screamed war and while Enyo was war, this wasn't the war they were looking for.

Harmonia looked up at the Norseman and let go of his arm. He really was extremely handsome. )

A Day for Tears [tag: Thyone]

[info]ophios_harmonia
There were a number of reasons that Harmonia would not return to the Underworld and seek out the shade of her dead husband and spend eternity sitting beneath trees with his serpent form winding itself around her various limbs. First and foremost was that there was no way Hades was going to let her go back. She barely talked him into letting her go in the first place. But even if he wasn't a hindrance, she wouldn't return at this point. Philotes would get mad and while Balance had never seen her best of friends in a rage, she didn't want to see it either.

Her brothers would get mad. In fact, at this point Harmonia was quite certain Deimos would go in after her if she tried to escape to Elysium. At least she was sure he loved her now. Not that she ever really doubted her brother's love for her, but it was nice to have it reaffirmed. And while she didn't know what Aphrodite would do, it probably wouldn't be pretty.

It would make Idun sad if she left, she was sure. Even though she had only just met the Apple Maiden of the Norse, Harmonia was quite taken with her and Idun seemed the type that would be sad over her leaving and the last thing Balance wanted was to make that lovely goddess sad.

Plus the world was amazing now. )

Daddy's Little Girl?? [tag: Ares]

[info]ophios_harmonia
If Harmonia thought seeing her mother had been a difficult and daunting task, it was nothing compared to what she was doing now. There was hurt here, and perceived betrayal. She had never really hated her mother or anything like that, but Balance wasn't exactly super close with her either. Aphrodite was her mother and Aphrodite would do as Aphrodite would do. Besides, it always seemed like Love loved Eros best, anyway. Even so, seeing her mother had been hard.

Hard enough that she was putting off reunions with any other family members until she could deal with the hurt, bit by bit, and move past it. Sure, most of it was Hephaestus' fault with the stupid necklace that was again in her pocket, but there were underlying abandonment and neglect issues too. Meeting the Norseman had been a nice distraction from doing what she had to do, even if talking to him had reminded her of the pain she was trying to work through. Philotes bringing her to meet Idun had done a lot to put a band-aid on some serious emotional hurt.

And Idun was so wonderful. )

It's About Time (tag: Harmonia & Idun)

[info]philotes
She need to stop this. And she knew that she needed to stop this. It wasn't good for Harmonia if she kept mother-henning her; Harm needed to get out and learn and grow and do things on her own. It would be better, she'd get her legs under her faster, and then she'd be able to move on. Philotes knew all that, and she wanted it, deep down, really, she wanted that for her friend. But she just couldn't seem to keep herself from hovering and fretting and generally being a pain in the butt probably.

Especially when her friend came home talking about somebody from another pantheon. )

Old Wounds (Tag: Harmonia)

[info]tiwaz
The meeting with his family had been difficult, but it wasn't until he was alone that the true implications and inner turmoil began to settle into Tyr's mind. It wasn't just that Loki was free- free and once again able to extend his own special kind of havoc on the world. That alone, Tyr might have been able to deal with.

The Trickster's freedom, according to the prophecy, meant a step toward Ragnarok. Likely toward his death and the deaths of many he cared about. Midgard, Asgard, all of it destroyed, or so he'd heard through various vague retellings of the prophecy. Even so, Ty could have dealt with that as well.

What he was having difficulty finding accord with was the memories )

Reunion [tag: Aphrodite]

[info]ophios_harmonia
She had been putting this off for long enough.

Even after the necklace had been procured, and what an adventure that had been, Harmonia had put off going to see her mother. Even with Philotes' poking and prodding, encouraging her that yes Aphrodite had in fact given the information about the necklace to her to tell Harmonia about, she still put off going to see her mother. Even now, as Harmonia stood at the threshold to her mother's Olympic temple, a place that had been her own home for her childhood and even up until she was married off, she stalled. )

Operation Necklace [tag: Philotes and Deimos]

[info]ophios_harmonia
Philotes was the best friend in the history of best friends, of that there could and would be no argument. At least not in Harmonia's eyes. Her dearest of friends had been at her side through all the trials and tribulations of Balance's life and never once left her to scramble on her own for her bearings. Except for that time when Cadmus died, but that was probably an issue of timing rather than any negligence on her part.

And now, now she had opened her secluded home among mortals in Greece to Harmonia. It gave Balance a place of safety and seclusion as she adjusted to the things that had changed around her. She needed to see her mother, she needed to see her father... she needed to see her family in general but she wasn't ready for that. Not yet. First she had to take care of the business with the necklace. She wasn't going to be in a proper frame of mind for reunions until that was taken care of. )

Bearer of Bad News (tag: Harmonia)

[info]philotes
Philotes loved the Underworld. It was her home, it was where she'd grown up, it was where most of her family still lived. While others might find it a dark and dismal place, and certainly there were many that found it frightening, Friendship always felt there was a dangerous beauty to it. And it was the peril that made the loveliness stand out that much more. At least, that was the way she saw it.

And because she was a child of the Underworld, she had resources that others wouldn't have at their disposal. She had spies. )
