Lotttie paced across the length of the porch on the front of her Nebraska farm house, completely unaware that on the ground a few feet lower, the chickens followed. When she reached the railing, she turned and walked back the other direction. The chickens mimicked her. From across the yard, Zed watched the entire display with utter disgust before stomping off to find something to ram into.
( The goddess didn’t notice that either. )

A woman's work was never done. It'd been said many times by many different people and meant in many different ways. Persephone's work was quite drear compared to a lot of those who had spoken the words she thought as she stared at the line of people waiting. She wasn't quite sure where her husband was, but she did not bother to try and reach him. If he wished to see her, he would see her. It was as simple as that. So much to do and so little time. How fun it must be not to be given so much responsibility. The thought of the days she laid lazily in bed within the arms of Hades and did nothing much else crossed her mind. It brought a smile to her lips. It was much out of place and the man who had come in to speak wasn't sure if he should smile or quiver with fear. It would have been an odd sight to her if she wasn't so used to it. Instead, she just waved him off, signaling to her attendants that she was done for the day. ( She needed a break. ) |
