Home sweet home {Open} [25 Oct 2008|12:16am]
It had been a long time, far longer than he had realized, but he was finally back on Olympus. It felt weird and familiar at the same time. He looked around the room he had claimed in Aphrodite's temple. Hopefully Mom wouldn't be too angry with him, but he needed a place to stay and at one point it had been his.

With a thought a heavy bag and stand appeared in the corner. Even though Peitho had greeted him warmly, Anteros was concerned with how the rest of his family would react to his return. He had gotten so caught up in his own life that he hadn't been here for them for quite some time. The erote hoped that they didn't think that he had abandoned them.

He peeled his shirt off before wrapping his hands and sliding on his gloves. Linkin Park blared in his headphones as he started to hit the bag. He took it slow and easy. For once there was no urgency to his punches; this workout was just to diffuse the tension radiating through his body. Anteros couldn't believe that coming home made him this nervous.

Sweat coated his body as he worked the bag over. His body glistened as he threw combination after combination into his opponent. He sang along with the music, completely immersed into his own world.

What Is Going On? (tag: Frigg) [25 Oct 2008|07:15pm]
The truth was, if Njord were to admit it, that he really wasn’t all that fond of Asgard. He’d never say it aloud, of course, that would go over like a lead balloon. They were so damn proud of it, the wall, the rainbow bridge, the whole thing. And while it was nice enough, it was not and never would be home.

Through all the long years, he’d never forgotten where he came from. And where he would return to. Honestly, he felt more at home on Midgard, in his home in Hawaii, than he ever had here. It wasn’t for lack of trying on the part of the Æsir, they’d been generous once the truce was settled, and time had a way of smoothing all ills. But this place still wasn’t his, and attempting to pretend it was felt hollow. So he wasn’t all that comfortable and at ease to begin with.

Then he went to Fensalir. )

Return of the Referee (tag: Nergal & Nanshe) [25 Oct 2008|07:18pm]
Once upon a time, so long ago that it almost made her dizzy to think about, right here in this very spot, Bast had met someone that would become a very dear friend. What she was doing here, now, she couldn’t exactly say. Beyond missing Nanshe. Perhaps she was looking for more answers to questions that hadn’t been asked. Who knew.

Bast rarely did things in what others would consider a logical progression, but that did not mean that she didn’t accomplish the goals she set for herself. Most of the time. While she was occasionally stubborn just for the sake of being stubborn, and possibly because she refused to admit that she could be wrong, Bast did know when to cut her losses. When a fight simply couldn’t be won. Sometimes, other approaches were needed because the first was unsuccessful.

So. )
