Looking For Trouble (tag: Dysnomia) [01 May 2008|12:00am]
ooc note: takes place after this thread.

It was a bad day when not even beer would help. And Kratos had tried to use a lot of beer. He’d started when he arrived home, grabbing a chilled bottle from his refrigerator and downing it before he’d even stepped into the shower. Four more after he’d cleaned up and changed hadn’t improved anything either. By the time he ran through his considerable supply, Kratos came to the conclusion that beer was not going to help.

At least not unless he had a lot more of it. )

When The Party's Over (Narrative, but if anyone wants to add to it, it is open) [01 May 2008|11:41pm]
[ mood | drunk ]

Selene closed her eyes tightly and buried her head into her pillow. She was afraid that if she opened them, the room would begin spinning again. Her head was pounding to a beat not unlike the one at the party the previous night.

It had happened again. Every month she promised herself that she wouldn't go overboard on her night off, and when the time came, well promises were made to be broken. That was the problem with only getting one night off a month, you tried to cram it full of all the activities you usually missed due to work.

Work. Selene slowly opened her eyes. It took a few minutes for her to focus on the clock.

"Damn," she swore quietly. Selene eased herself out of the bed. She gingerly made her way to closet to grab something soft and comfortable to wear.

A quick glance out the window, showed a sky painted in pinks and oranges. It was even later than she had thought. Since Helios had already finished his trip across the heavens, that meant that Selene didn't have time for a dip in the Okeanos.

With a thought, Selene appeared at the barn where the Moon chariot was stabled. The attendant gave her a knowing smile as he handed the Goddess her cloak and a bottle of water. She sighed upon noticing that he had hitched the white oxen to the chariot. Selene stepped into the chariot and took the reins. Luckily the oxen knew the way and didn't require much attention. They wouldn't stray from the path, and maybe Selene would be able to catch up on some much needed sleep. Tonight the earth would be free from Selene's keen eyes.
