The last sanctuary (Morpheus) [12 Jan 2008|11:54am]
OOC: Just before this

The little conservatory was blooming with greenery - touched by the gentle warmth of Spring as little buds of colour dotted along the hedges and bushes. The silence of the surroundings was only broken the lightest trinkling of the serpentine stream that wrapped itself through the centre of the garden - past the temple and the ruins in the distance.

Idly picking at the stitching that lay on her lap, Athena sang softly to herself and her companion as her needle flew like a busy bee - carefully forming a pattern as her companion sang at counterpoint as his knife flew across the piece of wood he was smoothing out.

Sense now the beauty,
The peace of Bodmin Moor,
Ride with the breaker
Towards the Sennen shore.
Let firm hands fondle
The boulders of Trencrom,
Sing with all fervour, then
The great Trelawny song.

She smiled softly, "You mock me." as he laughed and reach out to tuck a lock of hair behind her ear fondly, "No, I dare not, milady." Athena looked up and away again, "You mock me again."

For a moment, her needle held still in the air before she looked over again, "Why do we always come back here despite everything?" her words were cryptic yet challenging but her companion looked back at her just as calmly and readily, "Do you really want to know?"

"No."

"Not really."

He laughed merrily as he sat the piece of wood aside, "Poor Wisdom, she who is the wisest yet the softest heart of all beneath the armour."

All is that not gone yet [Persephone, Concept] [12 Jan 2008|04:38pm]
The moment that Zeus and Nyx had left, Hades did not see if he still had any choice left anymore. The matter of war had indeed become highly critical and utterly in his disfavour. However, it wasn't just him that was affected, there still one more person who had to know and in time, to flee.

At least for now, she was safe and he had to tell her to prepare.

Detaching himself from the corpus that stood before Hermes who spoke and accepted the herald's offer of duty, Hades fled towards concept - the one place that he knew where they would not be watched nor traced.

The one place where the vacuum reigned supreme and if things were to happen as they were set now, where he would end up eventually.

Reaching out with the first memory of her, her last words to him before he left.

Persephone

There was no time for honorifics or time to waste, but yet as calmly as he had called out to her.

Treachery by Akheron and Moros has laid things to waste.

Drown Your Sorrows [Open] [12 Jan 2008|07:02pm]
She had waited. Iris said her peace and ordered him to go; no matter how little her heart wanted to send him away, her head said it was for the best. She did not work like that. Her heart did not work like that. Iris was no lovestruck child, fainting at the feet of her paramour whenever he came calling. No, she was a proud and relatively influential goddess who served the King and Queen. And yet Zephyrus thought he could just march back into her life after being gone for an eternity.

No. Absolutely not. )
