The game starts out promising. Gryffindor starts out with luck on their side, it seems that Lockhart doesn't know what blocking the hoops means. About half an hour into the game Bones gets hit by a nasty bludger. She seems to be struggling at first, but must have cast a healing spell on herself. For the next hour or so she holds it together, but begins to falter near the end. Two hours into the game, Ravenclaw captain Shacklebolt gets a bludger into the chest, and he's winded for a good ten minutes.

It's an exciting match, and the teams are matched well. After an hour of tough shots, Lockhart starts to block even the most skillful shots. Nearly three hours into the game, Leary dives off his broom to catch the snitch. Is it enough? Or did Gryffindor score too many times?

The wind calmed down overnight, but the temperatures stayed chilly. The morning is cold and overcast. However as the day progresses, the clouds start to break, and the sun comes out late afternoon and starts warming the air, promising that the carnival tomorrow might have a nice opening day!
