Who: Benjy Fenwick and Marlene McKinnon
When: Saturday early afternoon... and then evening
What: Benjy fell asleep, and Marlene's waking him up. None too gently, either
Where: The Astronomy Tower
Rating: Not sure. Probably PG-13... No, wait. I'll say R for language. Benjy's got a potty-mouth
Climbing up the stairwell towards the Astronomy tower in the early afternoon on Saturday , Benjy reflected on why he'd decided to head up here today. Avoiding Torin was obviously a major reason, partially because he had spent the past couple of weeks avoiding Torin and partially because he had just used his first direct communication with the other boy since the nose-breaking incident to call him a wanker. And seeing as it was the weekend, Torin really could have been hanging around anywhere, including the common room, the library or the Great Hall. But another reason for sneaking up to the Astronomy tower was because Benjy really needed a peaceful place to get some of his homework done and he'd decided that he may as well enjoy the sun and warmth that was finally starting to show it's face again after the winter at the same time.
Emerging at the top of the stairs, Benjy took a moment to lean against the battlements and gaze out at the sun-warmed school grounds. It really was a lovely day. He sighed contently and turned to look down at the floor. Since he'd started sleeping in the Common Room every night, he had become quite adapt at getting comfortable in odd places, and he'd brought a couple blankets that had heating charms cast on them with him. He sat down on the floor of the tower, sitting on top of one of the charmed blankets and throwing another around his shoulders. He leaned against the inside of the battlement he'd been standing against to get a position that was mostly sheltered from the breeze and settled in with his Transfiguration textbook.
It really was a nice spot. Benjy could sort of understand why so many students snuck up here for their "secret" rendezvous every night. It was peaceful up here. He yawned. Sleeping in the Common Room had proven more trouble than he had guessed it would when he'd decided to start doing it, and he rather suspected that he had been severely sleep-deprived for a couple of weeks now. Stupid Torin and his stupidly intimidating muscles. Benjy shuffled around where he sat, getting comfortable in his heated blankets and tried to turn his attention back to his textbook, struggling to keep his eyelids from drooping shut...
