Benjy felt something nudging at him, pulling him out of a pleasant dream about cotton candy trees and his having a pet elephant. He swatted at whatever it was. Reluctantly, he blinked his eyes open - weird, the sun seemed to have disappeared so quickly - and looked up at the interloper from where he lay. He frowned at the familiar face and the mocking look upon it. "Oh. It's you."
Struggling to untangle himself from his charmed blankets and sit up from where he had apparently slumped down to lay on the floor while he slept, Benjy managed to get up and lean back against the battlement once again. Rubbing at his face to make himself wake up some more, he looked at Marlene again. "Did you just kick me?" he asked. "You know that there are other, more civilized ways of waking a person up, right?"
