There had been a time that he would have died at the thought of being able to stay in a place like this. Crown Plaza was probably not the nicest hotel that had ever been it sure as hell was posh enough to impress him. The amenities alone would have cost him a fortune and the hotel was just giving it all to him at no charge. It was like winning the world's weirdest lottery. He would have been more suspicious if he'd ended up with the penthouse suite but since he had been placed on the first floor, the gift was easier to accept. It was nice that his room was closer to the lobby and all its luxuries. The Fraternity certainly hadn't put him up in style. A small part in him felt that he deserved at least one night here. Then tomorrow he'd put some active effort into leaving. Not until he'd been able to put that foosball table to some use. Before he did that though, Wesley had to check out his room. It was a short trip. He half expected the key not to work, like this was all a joke and he was just waiting to be the butt of it. But the door opened with ease. He stepped in, shutting the door behind him and ventured a few more steps. Someone had mentioned that he might already have a roommate. Approaching the main room with cautioun seemed the right way to go. He felt vulnerable without his gun or even a knife to defend himself with but if it really came down to throwing fists, at least Wesley knew he was prepared on that end. As long as he didn't trip over his own feet. The lights were off so he fumbled around for a little bit in the dark before finding the switches. If someone was in here, he couldn't judge them for sleeping in a little. It wasn't even noon yet anyhow. He'd always slept in on his days off from work. It'd been one of the few things he could look forward to. When he had the apartment to himself. When he did finally find the light in between the beds on the table, he turned it on. Then immediately turned them off after accidentally getting an eyeful of his new roommate. |
