Who: Severus and James
What: Snooping under the Potter's bed.
When: Saturday, 30 April 1980, about three in the afternoon.
Where: The Potter's
Why: Because James made a joke about having the Sword of Gryffindor under his bed. And Rodolphus doesn't have a sense of humour. But Severus would like it to be known that he did not do it when Rodolphus ordered him to. He waited until the next day.
Rating: Stupid. (According to Severus)
Severus arrived, very begrudgingly, at the top of the street were Lily's house resided and stood there trying to come up with an excuse for why he couldn't do this. But he was fresh out. The other Death Eaters, especially Rodolphus, weren't buying his excuses anyway. With a huge expulsion of air, part sigh, part resignation, the bitter young man, looking odd in his black robes against the bright, sunny April day, made his way to the Potters front door. Where he stood for a good five minutes before he rang the doorbell.
"Please just be Lily at home. Please just be Lily at home. Please just be Lily at home." He muttered to himself, like a mantra, until he heard footsteps approaching, then he looked down at his shoes and held his breath.
