Okay, let's figure this out, yeah?

I've got a couple of questions for you and a few favours to ask.

1. You all know each other, yes?
2. Do you remember being told about this incident in the future? There are a few kids who been older in our time. Do you remember this happening?
3. Could you swap like stories or something to see if there are details that are off.
4. Anyone any idea what our current idyllic sky means? What's up with those holes? Can electric charges do something like it? Izzy, what does your magic meter say? Any activity?
5. What do you kids know about our future knowledge of the spire?

[Edit: Iranyo, Irayo,]

Tom

I really love that you're trying to figure all of this out, Dad.

We do pretty much all know each other. I know that Tim is further along on the timeline than I am because he's only 2 years older than me but I'm 16 and he's 21 right now. And he knows something that I don't know and won't tell me.

I don't know what the sky means. I don't remember hearing anything about this in the future but that doesn't mean anything. Adults have a tendency to withhold details from us kids in the name of protecting us. I have heard you and mom whispering sometimes and you stop when you realize I'm there. Maybe that has something to do with it?

The only future knowledge of the spire that I have is "Do not touch under penalty of permanent grounding"

Uh, thanks. Science guy. That's what we do.

So your impression is that you are all from the same future? Do you remember that others vanished? Did someone tell you that they have been to the past?

We're not all from the same future because some of us are from different points. I'm only supposed to be 2 years younger than Tim but here I'm 4 years younger because he's from further down the timeline. And Jacob is only 6 or 7 and he's supposed to be the same age as me, or there about, so he's from earlier than I am.

This isn't the first time that I've been sent back in time. When I was 12, I got sent back for a few months to before anybody had ever shown up on the island. So I was stuck here by myself having to fend for myself. Fortunately Uncle Jake had already taught me a lot of survival skills so I managed. When I got back, you and mom said I'd only been gone for a couple of hours. It was really weird.

Yeah, like different points on the same timeline.

Oh, really? How long have you been there? What was the island like?

Yeah, totally different points on the same timeline.

I lost track of how long I was there but I know it was at least two months, probably more than that. There wasn't a city when I first showed up. It was just the forest and the beach and the jungle and the meadow. I tried to catalogue the different animals but it was really hard without any pen and paper or without my laptop. And my phone battery died pretty quickly. Some popped up while I was there, though. And before I got sent back, the city started showing up.

Two months? On your own? Man, I guess you are pretty good at survival.
