I don't live alone, of course, but the house is so large it feels that way sometimes.

I see. I understand. I've always been happier with a small apartment. Much easier to heat, as well.

I don't think Thomas worries about that. About the money to heat it and all, I mean. And it's a lovely place, don't get me wrong. Just very large.

He's a rich man? I don't suppose any of us have to worry about the cost now that we are here, it's just a personal preference. I'm sure it is lovely. Even more so now that you have a new companion.
