Three key quotes that everyone should know and take to heart. Because there are far to many people who think themselves smart, or 'wise', on this island, yet close themselves off to learning anything new about anyone or anything.

"The fool doth think he is wise, but the wise man knows himself to be a fool."
-William Shakespeare

“To know that you do not know is the best. To pretend to know when you do not know is a disease.”
-Lao-Tzu

"The only true wisdom is in knowing you know nothing."
-Socrates

They all three say close to the same thing. And all three men knew what they said to be true about themselves.

My question is, are you going to die the fool? Or will you become wise before you die?

Yes but that's hardly me judging you, simply me judging your actions. Again you assuming things, and assuming wrong.

Let me fix that quote for you.

The only conclusion that I've actually made about you, is that you're not worth talking to directly. Mostly because you [are being] boring, and very predictable.

You seem to find it fun to humiliate and belittle. What does anyone have to learn from you? When you yourself think you have nothing to learn. It's not that I refuse to learn, it's that you have so little to teach.

You judge my words, and my personality based on those words:

You find it fun to humiliate and belittle. How would you know if you did not assess my personality? How did you assess my personality? You judged my words, which you read as actions. All of those things are based on experience.

Experience dictates action.

And that's fine, your last point--I may have nothing to teach you, it's true. I won't pretend otherwise. But because you cannot learn from me doesn't mean no one else can. That's the beauty of these things. You still miss that point.

The minds that can be taught will learn, the others who have nothing to gain will not. It's not my choice, but the choice of others.

Let me put it in simple terms that you'll understand. When you act like you hold some intelligence, I'll believe you have something to teach me. So far, in this conversation, and in others, I don't believe you do. Because, like I said you're being boring and predictable.

I don't need to learn how to be rude, or how to be nasty, or how to be a bitch. I know how to do all these things, probably better than you do, but I don't offer to teach them because I'm sure there's still room for me to learn, I just don't wish to.

And it also looks like I'm not the only one that misses points.

You've missed it again.

I don't need or want you to believe me. You don't have to. I don't require it. What you think of me has no importance to my life. If you think I have nothing to teach you, that is your belief. And it's valid according to your own mind and doesn't matter to me anymore than I do to you.

I thought we were having a simple conversation?

My question is, why are we having this conversation at all if you have nothing to prove?

To temper an insatiable boredom. It entertains me, and I'm contrary.

Did you learn none of those things?

You realize bringing others discomfort to entertain yourself makes you no better than any schoolyard bully, right?

Not that you've brought me discomfort, likely you'll be gone tomorrow, and all you'll be is a name on a wall. Unless I manage to forget it.

How is that petty of me? Weren't you just saying the same thing?
