Three key quotes that everyone should know and take to heart. Because there are far to many people who think themselves smart, or 'wise', on this island, yet close themselves off to learning anything new about anyone or anything.

"The fool doth think he is wise, but the wise man knows himself to be a fool."
-William Shakespeare

“To know that you do not know is the best. To pretend to know when you do not know is a disease.”
-Lao-Tzu

"The only true wisdom is in knowing you know nothing."
-Socrates

They all three say close to the same thing. And all three men knew what they said to be true about themselves.

My question is, are you going to die the fool? Or will you become wise before you die?

Then how do people learn if they do not speak? Is it better to remain a fool in ignorance, or speak and be taught?

If you remain silent you can learn by listening to those around you.

Then no one would talk. Learning is not a one way road, and it is impossible to demand one be silent while the other speaks.

Communication requires both parties learn and listen at once.

At least you're proving my point. Have a good day, sir.

I see no point, truly, other than being unable to have a dialogue with you if you run away from the conversation. But perhaps it is my failing? I don't understand.
