Eru. I require a horse, and not because I want a pet, they are rather stupid creatures after all and I've no use for pets. But because I despise the trek up from Imladris. It's irritatingly vile and I wish not to walk if one might carry me.

But what use would a horse serve other than to bear me to and fro? I'd hate to have to keep it shoed, or whatever it is you do when you put shoes on horses.

Ai! I have just remembered--

I was in New York City just the other day--don't ask me where or what that is, know only that it's disgusting, boring and there are a lot of homeless, dwarves that aren't dwarves and not a Hobbit in sight (thank the Valar)--and there was a man with a horse pulling a carriage. The horse had pink shoes. Pink horsehoes. It was the most atrocious thing. He told me his name was Cundu, or 'prince' for the less educated out there. He was quite miserable as you can imagine. But most things are, in the hands of humans.

Valar, pity the poor sod. They may as well have fed him a strict diet of spaghetti. If you don't know what that is either you might well never find out. It's appalling.

Well. We're nicer than you, for one thing.

But ai! I suppose it isn't your fault.

You cannot help that your people are bred for food, weed and drink alone.

As surely as you cannot blame a horse for being stupid. It's nature, after all.
