Welcome to the island. I see others have already explained this place a little to you so I won't duplicate their work, but I will say that most beings here are friendly and if you're willing to make an effort to be friendly in return you'll get along well here.

A piece of advice, stay well away from the large stone tower in the center of the city. Strange things happen to beings that try to investigate it.
