Since I have very little else to do around here

Does anyone need any help leaning English?

Est-ce que quelqu'un besoin d'aucune aide à apprendre l'anglais?

Кто-нибудь нужна помощь изучения английского языка?

Weet iemand een hulp leren van Engels nodig?

有谁需要任何帮助学习英语?

Oh, I love all of the fancy characters!

Does anyone speak or read Latin?

Quis indigeat adiuvari cognita Anglorum?

Anyway. I'm leaning Hebrew too, so if any of you Hebrews or Shebrews don't speak English, I can be on hand for that too.

A subtle way to advertise your piece for the women.

Nice.

I have so many things to say I'm having difficulty whittling it down to just the one.

Something about oral skills.

But no, I hadn't thought of using my oral skills to attract the ladies, but if it's doing it for you I'll certainly throw it out as an idea.

Are you offering me oral?

No, sir. Just observing that if the promise of my oral skills please you then I'm sure if I apply them as a form of mating dance I will be mightily successful.

I am not pleased by your oral skills.

You, sir, have broken my heart.

Take your harsh words and leave here. I will be alone. With my oral skills.

(which would be awesome, but only wishful thinking)

It's not completely wishful.

Only requires the removal of a few ribs.

I don't have the time for that kind of thing. I've had all of the invasive surgery I'm willing to have this lifetime. Unless something goes horribly wrong and it's the only way left for me.

I feel now would be the time for an introduction. My name is Count Vernacular.

Some people call me Eames.

Make your choice, sir.

Not particularly. I'm trying to do various things. I sometimes do some handy work. And I was helping move things around the hospital. I was in the army. My various skills will all come to some good at one point I'm sure.

If not, I make a handsome whore.

I'll be your pimp. You can give me 60%.

Sixty?

I might be pretty, sir, but I'm not stupid. What's your game plan? To whom will you be pimping me, and what will you be offering as my services? Because the percentage is dependent on various factors. Like the amount of effort put in on each of our parts. Just for instance. I'm going to have to keep myself looks like an adonis, and whilst it is a God-given gift, it does take time to maintain. And time is money, sir. Time is money.

you're right! I didn't think of that.

If I weren't hippo sized and exhausted just by walking from one side of the apartment to the other I'd look into how much he wanted to charge for your services. Easter eggs are plentiful. :)

Thank you, sir. I'm glad I can impress you. That's just a small taste of my oral skills. I'm mostly fluent in all of those. Except Cantonese. I'm still working on that.

That would be a delight, old sport. Much appreciated.

Just for fun, really. Latin I learnt at school. And French. Russian for work. Dutch for work. Chinese on the side for some other work.

I started learning Hebrew because it sounds beautiful, but I'm sure I'll mess up the pronunciation.

[Gatsby]

Brilliant. Thank you! I really will mess up the pronunciation, but I'll give it a good go. Feel free to find some apt punishment to keep me on track. I'm a terrible student.

I picked up a smattering of French and other European languages on my travels, but simply enough to get by, nothing near fluent, and nothing that really stuck. You must have a wonderful aptitude for it.

[Eames.]

Beautiful? You think so? Well, I can certainly help with your pronunciation, I'm sure you'll do just marvellously. I very much doubt that you are a terrible student. Perhaps you will find me a terrible tutor.

Well, whilst you probably won't need to use them, I can teach you some languages. Just for charming the ladies.

Well, it's something I enjoy. And sometimes necessary. So-

[Gatsby]

Oh, absolutely. Listening to the Sabbath prayers is musical, almost. It's lovely.

I highly doubt you'd be a terrible tutor, Mr. Gatsby. You're clearly patient and gracious.

Wonderful, that would certainly be a useful way of passing the time here.

Well, that's good if it's something you enjoy learning.

[Eames.]

Oh. You've listened? I'm glad you think so.

I'll try to be a good one, at least.

I can help with Arabic, Greek, Latin and Hebrew. If you fancy learning Egyptian Hieroglyphics, Demotic, Heratic, or Cuniform writing systems I could help you out there as well.

I had been working on learning the middle earth languages, but my instructors seem to have vanished.

I tried to learn the middle earth languages when I was in school from the books, but then you know, other things happened.

Hieroglyphics are awesome! I haven't done a lot of study into languages, really, but I think we could probably come to some arrangement with this.

I wanted to learn Arabic too. And Ancient Greek. But there was never time.

My parents are both Egyptologists of one kind or another and I followed into the family business though my specality is languages. When you spend more of your life in Egypt than you do England, Arabic is as natural as breathing.

Teach me Russian and Chinese and I'll help you with ones I speak and read that you want to learn.

Of course. That makes sense. Well, that's wonderfully interesting. I wish I'd followed a path like that.

My Chinese is a little shoddy, it's my most recently learnt language, but I'll catch you up as far as I've gotten. Fortunately, Russian is my most fluent, so that balances out.

That sounds agreeable. When do you want to start?
