Excuse me, sorry, I know it's early, but I must have been sleep walking and I woke up and don't know where I am. How do I get back to my flat?

Cheers, thanks.

Hi Steven.

I saw your message earlier. Do you sleepwalk often?

Hello. I sleepwalk a lot, yeah. I've woken up in all kinds of places. But "Weird Space Park" was definitely one of the weirder ones.

There are several strange places here. Did you ever see a doctor for your sleepwalking?

Oh yeah, I can believe that!

I didn't know it was a thing you could go to the doctor for, to be honest. I just put an extra lock or three on the front door back in London, and try not to sleep too much.

You should come see me and spend a night in medbay where I can monitor your sleep. There could be underlying sleep disorder causing the sleepwalking.

A lock on your apartment door here would be a good idea. An alarm too. I also suggest checking to make sure there's no power cords around or anything else you could trip over and making sure you don't have any sharp or fragile objects out in the open.

You need sleep.

My flat's all tidy now, I've got all the books up on shelves and everything. But the sleep monitoring sounds great.

I know I need sleep and I do get some sleep but I still wake up exhausted. Which isn't surprising if I'm doing laps of the bloody station, you know? Some mornings, I wake up and I feel like I've been hit by a bus.

If that was sarcasm, the sleep monitoring isn't overly invasive. The monitors here are more advanced than in my time.

Then we should definitely monitor you sleep for a night, maybe two. You might be experiencing sleep apnea in addition to the sleepwalking. On the worst mornings, do you check yourself for signs of injury, such as bruising?

It wasn't sarcasm, honest. I just want to sleep and not need to worry about waking up just as I fall off a balcony or something else stupid like that.

I check, yeah. Every morning. There's nothing.

Good. It can be hard to detect sarcasm over text. What night would be good for you to come in?

If you ever see any heavy bruising or have a bad headache, please come in to get it checked right away.

Any night suits me. It's not like I'm working inventory back at the museum any more, you know? I just have to get Gus fed, and that's it really.

I can do that. I mean, I get headaches too, but I figured it was eye strain. I had to get glasses for reading recently.

How's tonight then?

That could be if they're routine headaches. If you wake up with a headache, it's best to get it checked in case you hit your head while sleepwalking.

Perfect! Can I bring a book or two?

Yes and bring anything else you need to sleep, including pyjamas/clothes you sleep in and favourite pillows if you have them.
