I'm just going to come out and ask this. How is everyone else not awed by the fact that there are gods - literal gods - on the station with us?

I have worshipped at many altars, and the way I came to understand it was that the gods were beyond us and that when I prayed on the eve of battle, the Lady of War did not mind if I called to her as Inanna or as Venus or Freyja or Saint Joan. The same with all the other gods and goddesses in their own domains.

Now I hear that Thor and Loki are here. Does that mean that countless other peoples were wrong, and the Norsemen right?

I cannot say I recognise your face nor your name. Tell me about your life.

I have not always worn this face. I am older than the oldest cities. I have lived in many lands and held many names and never in that time have you

The gods do not know of me, then? I thought you might know why I alone of all men am reborn each time I die.

Fascinating.

I have heard rumours of curses that work similarly. You didn't anger a mage in your first life, did you?

I don't remember my first life. I don't know how long exactly this has been happening.

Neither do I. I doubt we are from the same world.

Then I apologise for my mistake. Revered as you may have been on your world, you are not the god I sought.

And what is this god you seek?

The gods who created the multiverse, and their children.

And how is that you know of their existence?

I have lived a long time. Long enough to know that there is more than just what we can see. All of this was created somehow.

And you have decided what exactly that is... fascinating.
