This is new. And I don't say that often. Does anyone know which company made these phones? If they haven't made millions yet, they're going to. And that is before I think about the fact that this is an actual space station like something out of a sci-fi show.

Hi. I'm James. James Valerius Kushim. Is it true that strange things happen here, and people might believe anything, no matter how unusual?

Trust me, man. This isn't a sci-fi show, it's real.

I'm Peter Parker, nice to meet ya James! And yeah, we're a mishmash of a lot of strange things here. Just watch til the big Blue Dragon guy or the Norse Demi-Gods try talking to you.

Good to meet you, Peter! If it turns out this is a studio and there are hidden cameras everywhere I am going to be so annoyed. I can't wait to meet those guys, though. Sounds like it'll be a hoot.

I don't think there are cameras here? Maybe? But this isn't some hidden camera show, I can promise you that. Yeah, they are, so are a lot of people here, myself included.

No, I seem to be getting the impression now that it's all very, very real. What's your deal, can you fly?

Ha! Yeah, at one point in my life I could. But, not now. I.. HowdoIexplainthis? I have the proportional strength, speed, and resiliency of a spider. And a Sense that allows me to know when danger to me or others is incoming.

I'm known as Spider-Man, does that ring a bell at all? How about you, what's your deal?

Yeah, I really did fly, I got something called the Uni-Force when I was facing the Tri-Sentinel.

And yeah, I really am Spider-Man. I can show you if you don't believe me.

Normally, I'd say that was crazy, but right now? It sounds awesome. Like something out of one of those comic books. Spider-Man.

My deal is just that I'm an old man. Much less interesting than spiderpowers.

Well, given your universe I may be in some of those comics books! Or a lot of them... Haha!

Oh? Just being an old man? I know I said something about Dean.. But ask around for Cyran, Erandur, Loki, or Thor. They're all old people as well, as far as I know.

Either way, I'm alright with showing you what I can do. I talked to another newbie about seeing me thwip about.

Hi James, I'm Katherine. Strange things can very well happen here though I guess they stop being strange after a while. As for the unusual, try your best, chances are someone has heard it before. Please, give me your weirdest.

Let's say ten thousand years? Or thereabouts. It's hard to remember much from that long ago.

That's not too bad. You are finally someone who can call my father a child. Refreshing. My grandmother, however, might still be older than you.

But you've got to try harder if you want to shock me. Any special powers? Are you a master sorcerer?

Are you serious? Your family can remember all of their lives too? I've never met anyone else who could. None of my children ever did.

I was a healer, a few times, but that's not exactly shocking. Never could get alchemy to work.

Wait, what? They remember their one life. Dad's a Jotun but my grandparents and uncle are Asgardian.

What do you mean by lives? You get reborn?

You mean, being brought instantaneously to a space station that's nowhere near being able to even locate Earth and then being sent back just as suddenly, and those specific station memories just vanish doesn't count as strange and unusual?

It's strange, I'll give you that. But I'd bet someone here could explain it. Someone smarter than me. Maybe it was a wormhole or something? It doesn't seem as strange as Big Blue Dragon Guy if that is someone in a dinosaur costume I am going to be very disappointed

I haven't studied wormholes in detail, but they always seemed pretty fatal to me.

Big Blue Dragon Guy is called Dean.

I probably should have paid more attention to science. It moves on very quickly. Here's a thought, though. What if this really is the work of the gods?

Dean. Interesting. I'll remember that. What about you?

Good to meet you. Are you a scientist?

Apparently it depends on which dimensions you're moving through.

Are we talking the usual spatial dimensions, string theory dimensions or something else entirely?

Disclaimer: I'm a biologist, not a physicist, so I don't know this in-depth.

My disclaimer is that I'm much more familiar with the old fashioned way of getting across the galaxy while in cryosleep, and I've only heard about this second-hand. But I'm going with something else. It's called L-space, and apparently the geometry is wrong and makes most people feel spacesick, but some lucky people can cope with it and become astrogators. The distances between places are much shorter in L-space than in our regular three dimensions, so I think 'wormhole' is a fair description, even if the guy who invented it might disagree.
