in mexico theres a god of war called huitzilopochtli and a goddess of water called chalchiuhtilicue and theres loads of other gods and goddesses and theyre all in a group called a pantheron pantheon and different places in the world have their own pantheons with different gods for the same things
i did a project about it in school.

There, you see? Every land has its own gods. You have the right idea. They can't all be wrong! I have a friend back home who worships a giant cow goddess. It's not for me, but it makes him happy.
