This can't be real.

I'd have guessed that I was in the Fade and had fallen prey to a demon trying to tempt me, but I suspect a demon would be offering something more appealing than being trapped in the sky among the stars.

This place seems vast. I was told there were others. Is anyone reading this?

I'm Adrian. Good to meet you. I'm a mage, yes. I understand that things are different for others here, but where I came from, mages are taken from our families as children to be trained - imprisoned, really - in Circle Towers. Many never leave their tower again. I left, and that's a lengthy story, but I'll say that the prospect of being here might be better than what I faced before. Something a demon would offer. But there is too much strangeness for it to be that.

	It really wasn't. Some people once told me that they thought I had a fine and privileged life, because I had an education and didn't go hungry. It wasn't worth the price though. It was only a comfortable prison so long as you never objected to any of it. Really? What sort of magic? I'd be very interested to hear how mages live in different places. 	Sounds more like a prison to me. Dressing it up fancy doesn't change what it is. I dabble in a variety of different schools of magic. Let's just say I've been broadening my horizons over the past few years. (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)
